Rogue Valley! :o Never heard of it, haha, but then again I haven't heard of many places and I also thought Canada was part of the US..I try and play volleyball. My passion for volleyball has helped me forget about junk for awhile. I become absorbed in trying to get better and improve my game, so it's good for me. Of course I don't get to play that often, so I'm usually moping about lately...
Buy a monkey. :P

This.
Buy a monkey and then go out fist fighting for money. It's your only way to the top.
I think it's time for you to take a nap. Seriously just to get some sleep medicine if you can't sleep and then take a good rest. That should help a little. .Here we go. I'm crying and I don't even know why.

tepni. you are beautiful. Why are you sad? Ending ones life is never the answer to anything. Everything bad will pass if you try and improve it. That's the problem with depression, it gives a false sense of non-hope. Hope is inside you all you need to do is brign it out.

I've hit a low in life. I know the thing not to do is sit around and dwell on your problems. Keep yourself busy, and think positive. In the words of William James,
"Much of what we call Evil . . . can often be converted into a bracing and tonic good by a simple change of the sufferer's inner attitude from one of fear to one of fight."

Yes you do :) You should be happy with yourself. There are plenty of other worse off people in the world. People feel joy when they help others, at least I do. Perhapos you should try bringing happpiness to those less fortunate than yourself? I give money to various organizatiosn that help out with children in Africa or makign things right in the world. I'd like to begin giving more time to charity work and such things. Perhaps that's what you can do? I gaurantee that you'll feel a lot more needed and happy.[QUOTE="tepni"] I'm not beautiful anymore. So yeah, that would make me happy by helping out others. And I should be there for my dad, and help him out since he's getting old and his back is givin him lots of troubles lately.[QUOTE="tepni"][QUOTE="BumFluff122"]What do you mean you aren't beautiful? Bringing joy to other peoples lives brings joy to your own. It's a win-win situation for both parties.
You haven't hit rock bottom. Hitting rock bottom is liberating because you know that you can do anything at all and be sure it will make you happier than your current situation. If you're feeling really low, one of the best cures is exercise. I know that's one of the most irritating answers you could hear but plenty of oxygen and a big hit of adrenaline can give you the energy and motivation you need to get out of a slump.jimmyjammer69
Exercise is a brilliant answer. I'm a firm believer of spending energy to create energy.
my best advise is to travel, just get away from the daily things, apartment and such.
Being surrounded with things/places/people you have been around when depressed can have a negative reinforcement on your state of mind, go trekking for a few weeks, see something new.
Break the daily patterns as much as you are comfortabile with also helps abit, or so I find it. Rutines are not a good thing when depressed.
Depression is a real bi*ch of a illness to have, because emotions are frozen up, everything is gray and it is like there is a sheet of glass between you and the world.
Or you could go see a doctor ;)
I find that the solution to your depression ultimately depends on why you're depressed.
From personal experience if there is no significant problem that is weighing you down and you just fell lowsy for no particular reason it could be hormonal or chemical depression, which unfortunately comes and goes, and is occasional best treated via medication.
If on the other hand there is that one situation(or possibly more than one) then that would need to addressed, either by tackling the problem head on with the parties involved or by counceling.
PS
sorry for the rambling, im not much of a morning person, and im sure there are plenty of other good suggestion within the post
You could listen to this...i always listen to music when i feel depressed..ah..no speakers..uhh..it can't be all that bad..i have nothing else to add that other people didn't already say..

To answer the post, there are 2 ways to tackle the problem
1. It could be chemical...as in a problem in your brain chemistry...only way to solve that is through drugs
2. If it is personal (not chemical)...it is all about your state of mind...YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY...
this comes from my existential background...basically you are what you choose to be...although change does require lots of work (at least in my experience with similar issues)
