Both of these power house shows compete with each other every sunday night at 9:00. Which one do you go watch first?

I'm watching Dexter, but it's more out of obligation at this point than actually enjoying the show. In terms of quality, it's probably the most inconsistent show I've ever seen. I pretty much hate every other season. Liked 2 and 4, didn't care for 1, 3, or 5. 6 was decent enough (could've been a lot worse), and 7's tolerable so far.
As for The Walking Dead, I watched the first season and that was it. It just didn't hold my interest and zombies, both in television and video games, just don't do anything for me.
Watch Dexter up until season 3, then drop it immediately for Breaking Bad.
Don't even bother touching The Walking Dead.
I always watch Walking Dead. It's become a Sunday ritual of mine to get with some of my friends, have a beer or two, and make stupid jokes while we watch it.
I've never seen Dexter. Its been on my list of things to watch, but I never got around to it.
I always watch TWD. It definitely has its ups and downs. Sometimes its amazing and sometimes its wtf did I just watch, but its always engaging enough.
Just recently got into the comics though and its much more interesting. The characters have a range of personality flaws that make it much more believable. Plus its just brutal. Makes the show seem like a Saturday morning cartoon by comparison.
I just haven't enjoyed Dexter for several years now. I became slightly interested last season when I figured out the season's twist, but that was short lived.
I think my main problem with Dexter is it seems to be so random at times. One episode will make it seem to go in a different direction, then suddenly it will undo everything from that episode. It's like a bunch of unrelated writers are just resopnding to each other with each episode, and that structure just doesn't work for me.
I haven't watched The Walking Dead yet, but enough people I trust have praised it to me, making it sound more promising than Dexter.
Dexter Season 5 was pretty poor and Season 6 wasn't the best but it's still greatJohnF111
After I got through the twist, I really disliked Seasons 6. I really think Dexter plotlines need to stay away from religious cult themes. I don't have a problem with them in general, but they don't really carry forth enough believability for me. I'd just prefer he stick with lone serial killers, and I'd like him to go back to "relating" to them in a sense. I don't want Dexter to constantly be seen as a good or normal guy. His charm in the past has been that he's just as vicious and heartless as those he hunts, just programmed a bit differently to like hunting bad guys. Dexter is much better when he's playing the role of a Portia Spider than the Orkin man.
i stopped watching the walking dead near the end of season 2. It just seemed kind of boring, with lots of down time and then a sudden zombie scare. I have watched all of dexter up to the last episode and im getting bored of it, but its all right and i watch it now cause i have nothing better to watch and would like to know how the story ends up.
