during world war ii, the US bombed the japanese cities of hiroshima and nagasaki. the japenese refused to surrender to the war and they were warned about the bombs well before the attack. the bombs were the first [maybe only?] atomic bombs to be dropped not as a test. was this a mistake? are americans evil?
yes and no. it was coming, but it didn't have to kill that many innocent people. they shoulda just bombed a military base or something. anybody read Barefoot Gen? depressing story on how life after the bomb was like (based on a true story).
No. The means to end the war was insight, and no american lives would be lost. Estimates for a land invasion tallied far higher, even for Japanese lost.
No they attacked America, they invaded Australia plus at the time when we were at war with germany. It needed to be ended, they wouldn't until we over took every last inch of Japan unless America showed a weapon so powerful thet japan didn't have a single hope of winning and would be destroyed in no time.
