Photo manipulation, of course, that's the explanation for anything relating to ghosts.
EDIT: Now, I do have these nagging feelings that I'm being watched and, at any moment, some freaky thing will jump out of freaking nowhere, screaming and leaping at me. Likely a creepy little girl. Just popping up in my mirror, next to me in the window when I turn my head, in my doorway.
And typing all that isn't helping, now I'm paranoid. Brb, hiding under covers.
Probably a dream, and thats 99% of the responses you will get on here as everyone seems to be completely skeptical of the supernatural.
So, last night I woke up in the middle of the night, say around 2am. At about 4am, I wake up, but I kind of realize I'm not fully awake. I can see my clock in the room, and it's the correct time and all, but I'm still realize I'm pretty out of it.get out of the house as fast as you can... run and don't look back
Anyway, I start to feel like something is hovering right above me, which is weird enough, but then it starts intermittently pushing me into the bed! Not shoving or anything, but I would feel something pressing on my body for a couple seconds, then stopping for a couple seconds, then repeating. All the while I'm hearing strange sounds in the background, like a phone ringing and kids laughing, and I'm starting to get freaked out!
So being pretty out of it, I didn't have the most logical thoughts. I was wishing I had a phone so that I could call for help lol. Anyway, I decided after a few minutes of hearing these sounds and being rythmically pushed into the bed that I need to get up. First attempt, I can't move. However, I really decide I need to get up, and on the second attempt I force myself up (and maybe awake), and everything is gone. The sounds, the "presence", it's not there anymore, but the clock is the same time that I was seeing. I also felt kind of sore on the side that I was being pushed (but not laying on).
Sooo, what do you guys make of this? Pretty weird lol. Was I dreaming? Am I being haunted? What do you think?!?!tlcain

kids laughing while being raped..... god that would be scary, and a phone ringing too.you made the right choiceTyping this on my phone, as I just decided to burn the house down. It was the only way. ;)

It is sleep paralysis. It is a common thing for people experiencing this to feel like there is something "sitting" on their chest. The brain is an amazing organ, and is capable of things we have no idea about yet. Don't write it off immediately as something outside your own body.
[QUOTE="tlcain"]you made the right choice you could have just called the Ghostbusters..... ah nevermind, burning your house down is way cooler isnt it?Typing this on my phone, as I just decided to burn the house down. It was the only way. ;)

lets just hope the spirits dont follow him :)
I've had the same thing happen to me, and it's most likely sleep paralysis, but it could also mean you were abducted by aliens. You see I actually took a class in college called Science and Pseudoscience, and you study aliens. My professor was a huge alien fanatic, so much so that he canceled class for a week, so he could go to an alien convention all the way out in Nevada. But supposedly the experience you had was you being abducted. After we learned about it in class, I told my professor about my experience, and I swear I thought the man creamed his britches with excitement. He wanted to hypnotize me because supposedly you will remember what actually happened while under hypnosis. I hate that I didn't let him do it.
