Did SNL became a liberal brainwashing tool ?

I liked SNL, but now they are just obnoxious to watch. They are just mean at this point, and some joke are really of poor taste.

For example, on this video, SNL openly calls for war with Russia, mentioning Nazi Germany. I was aghast when I heard this joke of such poor taste, especially when millions of Russian people died by the hands of Nazi Germany. And the audience applauding to it. That was really awful.

On this video, Trump is presented ridiculously racist, Alec Baldwin putting word into his mouth that Trump never said, and therefore taking his Trump's parody bit too far, almost to the point of open hatred.

I stopped watching SNL after early 2000's

They have been like that since the early 2000s. I stopped watching because its not funny. I did laugh when they were crying after Trump won.

It was not the same after Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi left.

I still very much enjoy SNL myself. They're just doing what they've always done and I still find it quite funny for the most part.

Whether it's funny or not is just personal taste but is it not contradictory to say that this should be stopped because it's mean? The whole battle over politically correct is all about practicing freedom of speech. Mocking Trump is just that.

I thought if you were going to brainwash people, you would need a good front to lure them in. SNL has no real front (comedy) in which to fool people into it's trap.

Let's be honest - hasn't mainstream media been a liberal brainwashing tool for quite some time now? In the form of news, comedy, whatever be it - liberal doctrine is pretty much slipped in ubiquitously. I think the idea is that when they push it so much and so hard, people just become blind to it and don't even really realize it's propaganda anymore. It takes advantage of the ignorant young and ignorant old alike - particularly naive people who just want to "fit in", usually afraid to risk alienation by adhering to any particular set of solid values while maintaining some sort of impression they're morally superior.

And if you look back at previous shows they have not been worse to Trump or republicans than they have with Clinton or Obama.

I haven't watched SNL for at least 15 years, I'll catch a skit here and there on YouTube and the results are always the same, pure crap.

Seeing the ratings of this show would be interesting although I doubt there is much on at 11:30 pm est worthy of much competition. To me I stopped watching it during the time when Ferrell left along with Dresch (Debbie Downer). The show used to be great when it came to commercial parodies along with the usual everyday parody of politics and world events but the impression I get is one of sub-par writers and performers.

Don't watch it if you don't like it, but many people still find it funny. As long as the ratings are there, I don't see NBC dropping it anytime soon.

Yes, almost all comedy is just part of a liberal plot. Dennis Miller has been the only funny comedian of the last 2 decades.

Not entirely; it's a money making machine that keeps the citizens in a null state. They purposefully shat on Trump 24/7 to give him exposure which, in turn, gives them content that is abundant and replenishes practically everyday. But yea, from a simpler perspective, it's a liberal brainwashing tool.

Not like SNL has got it anymore. Really lost its edge. The real comedy is Donald himself, for better or for worse.

I remember seeing this sketch they did with Tom Hanks where he was a conservative that went on a black gameshow, and it highlighted ways that conservatives and blacks have similarities despite their differences. I thought it was pretty clever, and not terribly biased. I assume there are other occasionally middle-ground skits on the show. But I wouldn't be surprised if most of the show is Left-leaning, considering that it is made in New York and most entertainers nowadays are liberals.
