I had a few positives and I made close friends, but I hated it. Inn hindsight I think I forced myself to look for more reasons to hate it, and that made it seem longer and worse. Literally from the start of 9th grade I was ready to get out of their.

Loved it, the last 3 years were the absolute best! I'm in university now and miss all the friends and teachers.

I miss all my old HS buddies and acquaintances and even a lot of the teachers. College never captured that same magic to me personally.

No way. It was a traumatic experience. I don't feel very comfortable around people. The day I didn't have to go to school anymore was probably the best day of my life so far.
Just the idea that some (or even most?) people enjoy going to school, it was not something I could even cope with untill recently. It's difficult to imagine how much easier life would be if you actually enjoy that stuff.
I did. I found it quite fun and mostly enjoyable. The last year contained some of the most epic moments of my life
I may be way off base, but I've found that most people who didn't love high school (or at least that era of their lives), didn't like it because of issues brought about by themselves. It's typically the same issues, whether it be no friends, social awkwardness, teachers "didn't like them", etc.
I don't know about that... There is a lot of group forming and bullying among the kids. A lot of impressions given at key moments in their development, their brains out of whack because of puberty and all that.I may be way off base, but I've found that most people who didn't love high school (or at least that era of their lives), didn't like it because of issues brought about by themselves. Only time I was socially akward was middle school, and despite my character I made some friends in High school and was rather sociable here and there with some people, and had some fun moments, and I still hated it. Never had a problem with teachers.

A lot of impressions given at key moments in their development, their brains out of whack because of puberty and all that. Again, outside of bullying, those are issues brought about by one's self. While group forming can suck, there's no reason why you shouldn't have found some group (even it it's just one other person) that you can befriend.I may be way off base, but I've found that most people who didn't love high school (or at least that era of their lives), didn't like it because of issues brought about by themselves. Same here. As much as I loved HS, my one main regret was not being as outgoing as I should have been. Looking back, those 4 years of my life could have been even more awesome if I had been.Yeah. I wish I was more social but it was still awesome. Liked a lot of teachers, had one close friend the last couple years, and didn't have to worry about much.

I would also say it was mostly because of the immaturity and general stupidity of high school kids as well, I'm twenty one and me and my friend's cant stand them since they're all over the god damn place here.
Loved it. Sports, academics, video games, not having to worry about a job or a roof above my head.....
Senior this year and I never want it to end, I'm having an amazing time. Tons of great friends, tons of great memories, good bonds with everybody, even the teachers. Its a small school so you know everybody. Made Homecoming Court, we have an amazing Out of Doors Club, and people out here throw great parties. No responsibilities, no tough work, the biggest worries being getting grounded for coming home too late. People who just mope their way through these four years are really missing out.
Maybe you should come out of the closet. =PHighschool was good because I wasn't an antisocial angst-ridden nerd.
just a closet nerd

11th and 12th grade were pretty good that I enjoyed quite a bit but I didn't like it better than the sum of its parts
Not really, I miss some of my friends, but I don't miss the drama and homework.[QUOTE="JasonDarksavior"]Loved it, the last 3 years where the absolute best! I'm in university now and miss all the friends and teachers.ArmoredCore55Nice avy. The colors look cool. Thanks :)
Not really, I got off to a bad start. For the first year of high school I was adamant I was going to change school to one where all my friends went, and in the process I alienated myself from everyone at school. I didn't end up leaving and for the next 4 years I never really formed any social group, so I was a bit of a loner throughout my high school years. This has had an impact of my life because I missed out on many of the experiences that most teenagers go through.
5 years? I had to go an extra year because I ditched the entire second semester freshmen year, the entire second semester my junior year, and 1st semester of my senior year. I was gonna drop out but decided to go that extra year in an attempt to earn the credits I needed to graduate. Still ended up dropping out despite finishing the entire extra year with great grades. I needed to go another year to pick up the3 or 4 major credits in order to graduate and that wasn't gonna happen....[QUOTE="tocool340"]
No. Worst 5 years of my life. I tried to make it enjoyable but nothing helped...
