Did you ever get... "The talk"?

If TV had taught me anything, its that at some point in every young persons life, thier parents are supposed to sit them down and have THE TALK... a pointless and embarrasing explaination about sex.

It never happened to me, and hasnt happened to any of my friends though! Now ill never know. Is there actually a story about Birds and the Bees? What does that even mean?

They told me about it over the years of my adolescence. tomxizor

Ill suprise my kids with it... Maybe as they open the front door to come home from school. Or through the door while theyre in the bathroom so they cant get away

I never had "the talk" but I did have to suffer through Sex Ed in middle schooldouble_decker

No, not really. I mean, we would talk about it here and there, however, by the time those kind of questions and conversations began to take place, I already had the basic idea of what sex was.

For the record, while I had one of those sex-ed classes in 5th grade, my personal discovery of what sex is began to happen 2 years previous to that, accidentally, through the means of "Cinderella" tape that I assumed, at the time, was some kind of Disney flick. Needless to say, I was mistaken.

It was a joke when we took it. I think we tried to not make it embarrassing by laughing as a group at most of it. Sex Ed I'm referring to btw. And I'll never forget her referring to them as "little guys." With talking of the importance of abstinence she brought up cases of safe sex not always being safe. And over and over how 'those little guys can swim.' and when bringing up a story of how a girl got pregnant without them ever reaching coitus. And she tagged to that 'those little guys can swim.'

I never had the talk, Wikipedia gave me all the info I needed. I had Sex-ed though. I dont get the whole Birds and the Bees thing. hows that supposed to work? Whats the Bird and whats the Bee?Srbanator

I never got the talk, kinda glad though....I can think of better things to do than.......listen to a nervous old man trying to explain about sex.....

I never got the talk. When my mother became pregnant with my brother I was curious though, and did what I normally did before I had high speed internet - go to the library to learn more about it.

But no, I've never gotten "The talk". I basically found out over the years from pop culture and friends.
