Well its my senior year, and I'm definitely going to buy a ticket to prom when they go on sale. Everyone I've heard from who didn't go to prom regret not ever going.Â
I just got this huge sense of dejavu... oh wait... maybe that was this being posted already recently. ;)
I went once to a "dinner and dance" in grade 9 and once to a "dinner and dance" in grade 12. The one in grade 12 was the first and only time in my life that I have danced.
Nope, Couldn't afford to go to mine. Besides, why spend your remaining time left in H.S. with people you really don't like anyway? I had a night on the town in NYC with my girl at the time and some other friends. Left friday night, came back monday afrternoon. Best weekend I ever had.
I went 4 years in a row. I had gone stag 3 years in a row, the guy I asked Junior year turned me down cause he got expelled and didnt wanna see anyone...(he regrets it really bad now -Â hes my husband now and he seen what i was wearing ^_^ he was mad he turned me down). Senior year I went with my bf at the time...left early to get wasted. (more like wasted my time). Dunno, I just liked dancin with my friends and having a chance to dress nice once in a while...specially with the dresses I wore, and the places we all would go for dinner ^_^ Good times good times!

yes,went 4 times like omni did,it was really fun,the last was held at lion country safari(when it was still open)they had a decent band there and a big dance floor.had to sit at the table where the school bully sat,what was great is that he actually apologized for being such a jerk and picking on everybody,it was one of the best experiances of my life!!!!,thanks for the thread.

Um..your profile says you were born in 1992, that would mean you're turning 15 this year, and probably in grade 9 (first year of high school). How did you have a prom? Or was it your boyfriends?

I didn't go to prom but I went to the party afterwords. Everyone from my school was there and I smoked more weed than I had ever smoked in my entire life (up until that point) and I had the time of my life.
I went and I loved it. I may have not gone with a significant other but instead it was one of those group of guys going with a group of girls deal. No regrets:D.
I went, and honestly if you have no social life like me it won't hurt you not to go. My brother didn't go. I wish I was him. I could have stayed home and, hmmm, played videogames.
Oh believe me, I'm going, but not with anyone else. I'm goin as a Prom Crasher! The guys who generally ruin everything and then get busted and have to deal with not only the punishment but everyone else at school the next day.
Oh man, it's gonna be great, I already have a plan on ruining people's clothes.
