Did Your Parents Used To Be Cool?

looked at some old pictures and was shocked to find out my mother was a punk rocker back in the late 70's-early 80's. pink hair, smeared makeup, ripped jeans, leather jacket, the whole thing. I asked her about it and she told me she eventually grew out of it when she got a job. I asked if dad was any different back then and she said 'you kidding? he used to have a bag of weed on him at all times'. I found this hilarious considering how boring and sqaure they are now, I cant imagine them ever being like that.

I... think so. Both have interesting stories from growing up in the 70's. For the most part I try not to think about it.

My mom is a former hippie turned psychologist, and my dad was a government worker his whole life lol. Yeah, I dont get how they met or married, but I am happy they had sex and I am here :D

My mom was always a bit odd and never the rambunctious type. My dad was more on the flirtatious side and was into sports and whatnot. At least that's to my knowledge. I don't know if they'd be considered "cool" or not, but I love 'em just the same.

My parents had no time to be cool. They came out of WW2 with almost nothing left and eventually prospered, making life comfortable for me. That makes them the coolest people in my life.

I don't have the time to be cool either since I have family to take care of. Of course, I'm probably old enough to be the parent of many here.

Do i think i think my parents are somewhat cool sure why not. My mom buy me items, mom lets me do pretty much what ever i want within reason. So i would say they are cool. I don't have much comment on my father i guess he's alright.

I reckon my dad was and is still pretty cool. He's laid back and cares a lot about me.

My mum was a nurse, but my dad was cool.

Not in a million years. They think they were both hot stuff back in the day but I strongly disagree with both of them.

Father was hardcore into martial arts and weight lifting as a kid and early twenties. He even taught students. In his early to mid-twenties he was a comedian/impressionist and avid investor. Somewhere between that time and my birth he changed drastically. So, yeah, he was pretty cool.

My mom was...well, a basketball loving woman who liked to engage in fights before the birth of my older brother.

If you count being a punk cool.

My parents haven't said very much about their childhood at all.

They just seem to ignore the subject...

All I know about my mom is that she had a toy poodle named rusty, and she was on the high school's hockey team.

All I know about my dad is that he grew up on a farm >.>

If my parents ever did anything rebellious or dangerous, they must have burned the evidence.
