dont get me wrong it some good shows out there but there aren't anymore you would consider classics

i remember we had good cartoons and shows.. now these shows be looking lame....

kids still rather watch lion king and old cartoons then the shows they have out now

dont get me wrong when their like 4 and 5 they would watch some cartoons

i thought it was because i gotten older but now a lot of kids do not even like it

they rather watch reality shows and movies, which is fine to me but i just noticed it

my sister rarely watch disney, she doesn't like any cartoons on cartoon network or nickelodeon

(well i think i saw her watch kung fu panda sometimes )

and i thought it was just her, but that wasn't the case, i guess the cartoons not as good anymore

It seems like as technology got better, shows got worse. There's so much lack of originality too.

lol yes the shows got way worse... like the jokes are way more cornier....it doesn't make kids laugh at all... kids aren't stupid they know when something is kiddy.....

then they abused the laughing machine too much

Yea, I loved those three channels up until around 2006, just about everything that was created after that doesn't interest me. Shows like Rocketpower, Powerpuff Girls, Kids Next Door, Dexters Laboratory, Rugrats, 90s Kenan Kel, Kim Possible & Avatar were the staples of my childhood, oh well. Today across those three channels I only Korra and even that's not nearly as good as the original series.

Agreed, the original series is superior in every possible way. As a fan though I still have hopes they'll pull it together but my hopes are definitely not high especially after what they did at the end of season 1 & 2 along with the stupid love triangle, villians being killed off early and then the Deus Ex Machina at the end of season 2.

Yeah, when I saw that Korra was with teenagers I was hoping the series was going to take a darker approach...turns out it's only teen angst...

@dennysinny: Well, Korra was supposed to have been a mini-series, then they decided to turn it into a full show...guess that's why the quality of the plot went down the crapper. But yeah, I'd be fine with staying with Aang, maybe a few years later.

is it not just because your getting older, I remember my older sisters (10 years older) saying the cartoons they watched was better than the trash I watched.

Yeah they went downhill, granted I never liked the Disney channel to begin with.

But Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are definitely shadows of their former selves. In fact the only things I watch these days on Nickelodeon are re-runs of good shows they once had, like Avatar. Cartoon Network at least has Adventure Time and Adult Swim going for it. Rick and Morty really gives CN a major boost in my eyes. Such a fantastic show!

Agreed. I loved watching Cartoon Network up until the mid 2000s. That's when it went to hell.

Cartoon network 5-7(or was it 4-6?) block of toonami was great to come home from school for. So was staying up saturday night for the shows than. Never watched disney as a kid but nickelodeon with rocket power, kenan & kel, rugrats and the early spongebob was great...

Maybe it is nostalgia from growing up in the 90s but man

I agree that Disney and Nickelodeon have dropped in quality overall, though to be honest even as a kid I was never too impressed with what Nickelodeon had to offer.

However, I think Cartoon Network has done a better job of staying true to its name (relative to the other two) and still offers a few quality animated shows.

I don't think I ever watched Nickelodeon when they had Disney stuff on it, but they had the Disney channel. Now all these young kids are listening to pop that made it's name on either network. Youth today sucks.

Nick was good back in the 90's, I remember Doug, Rugrats, CatDog, Aaaah Real Monsters, Hey Arnold!, even shows like Global Guts, Are You Afraid of The Dark, Salute Your Shorts, Legends of The Hidden Temple, etc. Now a days it's Spongebob Squarepants, TMNT, and shows like Sam and Kate, The Thunderman's, etc.

Disney Channel, I remember a few shows like Cow and Chicken, Kids Next Door Codename, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, I am Wiesel, Power Puff Girls, Billy and Mandy, etc. Now adays it's Regular Show, Steven Universe, Clarence, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball. I like Regular Show outta the shows that they are showing now. Reminds me of an adult show in the way it's formatted plus it's hilarious.

My nephews watch Nick for TMNT and Spongebob along with Nick Jr in the morning for Dora, Bubble Guppies, Max and Ruby, etc. If I had to pick over Disney or NIck it would be Nick just cause I grew up on that network and never really go into the shows on Cartoon Network outside from Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry.

Yup, some of these cartoons the new ones really dont make any sense not even as a gag or story wise.

I agree all of those shows are beyond ridicules.

Anime and Avatar last air bender inspired shows are the only ones i prefer to watch, the artwork in these current shows is a joke.
