When the main dude and his alien friend co-op through the military base, that was the best parts in the movie, and it seemed like you were in halo, it was awesome. but... the wife as usual didn't do it for me, her and her father were stupid characters and annoying. So... 8/10 for me

Pointless? It looks like all you care about is the action. Go watch transformers, movies like it dont have stupid and annoying characters, they lots and lots of action. Oh man youll feel like Master Chief killing all these bad guys. :D But no, D9 is not just for the action.

"and it seemed like you were in halo, it was awesome." I laughed. Seems like something someone who was young would say.

Wow you're dumb, D9 was actually a very deep movie, and the wife and father added to the empathy of the movie.

But it's still awesome at the same time?

And if it wasn't for the wife, i wouldn't care half as much for the main character.

there was no connection between the wife, and the father and the main dude. it was pointless, the only emotional connection was between the aliens

What? Are we seeing the same movie here? Wikus risked his life to get back to his wife, AND to protect the aliens.

Are you saying at the last minute of the movie you didn't feel emotion?

Please don't tell me you're saying that's a bad thing. It's not his fault these "abstract concepts" don't appeal to him. Anyway, the wife was just there to show that the protagonist had value in his life and had something to live for. She didn't really detract from the film, unlike many females from other movies. She was there, added what she needed to, and didn't **** it up by making it mushier and cheesier than it had to be. My overall assessment of the film is that it was pretty awesome. I didn't like the loose ending, though. God forbid that someone doesn't leave a movie or anything else open for a sequel. Well, if there is a District 10 (I'm not sure if there will be), I'll certainly see it.

I have heard a lot of great stuff about D9 and I'm looking forward to it. Anything PJ has a hand in should be good.

And if you don't mind my advertising, if you click the link in my sig, we are talking about D9 quite a bit. >_>

no connection? a major point of his motivation came from his wife. how did u not see that? crying to her on the phone isnt enough?
