I used to live in Belgium, so i know! ^_^
I speak 6.
Fluent: English, Dutch (Flemish), Spanish and French.
Not Fluent: Italian and Portuguese.
I'm currently learning German and Japanese. It's fun, love languages! :D
I know n00b language and fluent English only.
Although i would like to learn French, because its in the EU and a very big part of it. I find it hard to learn new languages :(

 If you don't use it you forget it. The problem with other language is you never relate to it. It's always bells and whistles. Yeah if you know what the words mean you can comminunicate with someone that speaks it natively, but you never relate to it.
 DO you know all of the synonyms to every word in your language? Do you know all of the words? How often do you use those words? Not often. So you forget.
 The human memory is just like RAM. We purge everything out of use and store the things we frequently use. It's a sequential refresh. You will forget over time. It's inevitable. Just ask anybody. Our minds are full of phrases and words that we remember, but we don't remember what they mean. Bells & whistles.
