I would never buy a BC Rich guitar. That said though, I heard a shocking story from a knowledgable bassist of 20+ years who just recently purchased a BC Rich Bass. I think it was a Warlock. This guy has owned the best Fenders, the best Music Mans, vintage Rickenbackers, Gibsons et cetera...and he says this Warlock is the best sounding and playable bass he's ever owned. I laughed out loud when he told me, but I trust this guy's opinion. So, maybe the newer basses sound pretty good. I still don't like their guitars, though.
Question is, do you like your guitar and the way it sounds? Screw people if they don't like it. One of my guitars is Peavey Patriot from 1986 with hot pink pickups. It's one of the gayest looking guitars I've ever seen...and by gay I'm talking Liberace, flaming gay Who cares though? I have it wired like a Les Paul guitar and it sounds great. Ultimately, it's about whether you like an instrument or not.
I know that there lower end models really suck, my friend owns one and it`s a warlock and it`s covered in duck tape, from quality. I own a Jackson warrior with Emg`s which was 1100$ and is an awesome guitar, you should save up for a better guitar, unless the one you play is fine. Everyone prefers there own type you just have to find it.evil_pickle
Well, I still need to learn to play it...
but it cost $500 and some reviews I read said it was a pretty good guitar
