Or are you after just for the movie?

Depends on the movie. I want District 9 deleted scenes or commentary. The Other Boleyn Girl ... ehhhh, not so much.
Some bonus features are awesome. I like the commentary while the movie plays too. But it has to be a movie I really like so it's rare I use those features.

That's just bizarre! Those were the last two films I hired out. One must accommodate the wife. I doubt that The Other Boleyn Girl made it to Blu-Ray. It wasn't very good. District 9 was effing brilliant though.
It all depends on the movie, I'm buying the 2 disc 2012 Bluray because it's one of my favourite movies and apparently there is an alternate ending. xD
[QUOTE="KittenNipples"]Yes. Allot of the time I will choose BD over DVD not because of the quality, but because of all the bonus content.GrandJuryDo Blu-ray movies have more features than DVDs?Content wise some studios put allot of extra material that wouldn't have fit on a DVD. Such as commentaries, trailers, games, and digital copies. The menu for BD movies is also a heck of a lot better and faster than dvd menus. You can even bring the menu up and continue to watch the movie. Its helpful when you need to get to a certain scene or want to see if they have a making of on the part you are watching, then you can PIP and see how the movie was made while you watch it.
It all depends on the price, if I buy a film for 5 dollars I am going for just the film and hopefully it has a nice transfer, if I buy something for 40 dollars I expect to have documentaries, short films, interviews ect. Probably the most important is the transfer of the film though, because on top of all of it the film is most important.....Jazz_Fan$5? DVD's cost around $25...........
DVD's cost around $25...........tigertechie
Uh, what? I've seen them range from $2.99-$19.99. I don't see any new releases that are $24.99 anymore.

Well, I mostly shop for DVDs (like I said, there are a few exceptions where I actually just settle for DVDs)/Blu-Ray on Amazon. Very rarely will I shop at Best Buy (sometimes they have good deals). I never see new DVD releases that are $24.99, though.

You mean like pop menus? I finally discover those when I was watching the Ultimate Edition of Watchmen.
I'm always just after the movie.
I will buy a collector's edition if its like $10-$15 more than the standard edition.
That's what I did with dvd's . I always bought the one with more content mostly because I was interested in it. Now with Blu-ray , it always seems to have the most content .I'm always just after the movie.

I guess that would be the name for them, lol. I recently found out that the pop up menu sometimes contains other camera angles for a scene. This too, especially when you have a nice display!I don't really care about extra features. You never know whether they will be cool or not. I get the bluray version of a movie because I know it will look a lot better.
