Wouldnt have a clue about Canada but I know a couple of sparks who earn anything between £400 - 600 a week. Depends how much work they have on.

Can't help you with Canada, but I'll tell ya what I know.

In Kansas, a union journeyman makes approx $25 per hour in the check. He also gets another $5-7 per hour in bennys. Not sure what apprentices make.

Generally they do. But I don't live in Canada so I can't say if it's true up north of me.

Any trade skill can make a lot of money if you have your own business.

In Canada a journeymen will make around 31-33 an hour if you're in a union(which is not hard to find if you're ticketed). Non union is about 27/hr. Get into industrial as well and you'll make big money, tons of OT and benefits.

Was gonna say, most trades make decent bank up until you're good enough to start your own trade business, then that's when the dough starts rolling in (If you're good)

My Uncle is an electrician. He runs his own business and he makes quite a lot of money, something like 200,000 dollars in a year but it can vary. But he also works very hard and travels a lot. You really need to be in good fitness if you want to be a private electrician.

I'd imagine they make a fair amount. Depends on the amount of work available, I guess.
