do guys ever put girls in the friend zone?

I haven't ever heard stories from girls saying they got put in the friend zone. Girls of OT have you ever been friend zoned? Guy have you ever done it? For the record I don't mean turned down a date, I mean you kept a girl at bay as a friend despite the fact she clearly wants to be more than that?

also since this seems to be less common does this mean girls get over denial faster than guys do?

There are different interpretations. I think that males do go out and try to just 'make friends' with females, just as females do with males. However I think it is much easier for a male to move from 'friend' to 'relationship' then it is for a female. For example, take a man and a women that are friends. If the man starts falling for the woman she will most likely not accept it, though if the woman starts falling for the man he will most likely accept it and move further with the woman.

I have a few female friends, and with all of them I have the thought 'I can see myself having feelings for these girls if they wanted, but I'm not going to waste my time when there are millions of other girls out there'. Basically I would go out with them if they wanted to, but I have no intention of asking them out because I have no feelings for them now.

Of course. But, I only did with those girls who put me in their friend zone first. No choice, really. That pretty much meant no serious stuff with them is possible since I tended to recover quickly and moved on. I'm still friends with some from my college days. Now that I've been married for a long time, I rather keep it that way. I don't want to hear what could have been.

Yes. Whenever a girl does this, I almost always put/keep her in the friendzone:

- "Why are all guys jerks?!"

- Twilight fanatic. -

If the girl happens to get attached to me too quickly

-No depth.

-If her "heart" aka shallow desires keeps going for the ones that are bound to hurt her.

-Expecting me to play some sort of game people play while matchmaking. Screw that.

-Girls that disregard my whole "I'm already claimed! I am! Really! Don't ignore her existence! D': "

I have this female friend who is very close to me, but we're not interested in eachother THAT way lol. We talk about pretty much everything involving relationships and all that stuff. I'm still amazed that we're so open with each other about those topics, yet we don't feel that sort of attraction lol.

I've put people in there for good, and at the moment everyone might as well be in my friendzone because the last thing I want right now is a relationship.

Nah. The friendzone typically means "Hey, let's JUST be friends," but the only girls I consider myself "friends" with are those I've gotten close enough to to like. So what that basically means is any female "friends" I have I have liked at one point or another and they haven't liked me back or I've come to a point where I know them enough to say "We're friends," but really mean "She's just a girl I know."

You might look at that and see it as being shallow or something, but it's not really. I don't have any friends at the moment. I've just lost interest in knowing people - ie. having "friends" - so the only people I'm going to bother getting close to at all is girls because they'll net the most reward. At the same time they're also the most risk, so I don't often make any profit at all.

That said, I have a pretty good female friend at the moment and if (hopefully when) I stop liking her then I think her and I will be good friends - and she may be the first true and legitimate friend I've ever had, so I'd like not to lose her to my silly feelings.
