Well look in your task manager and see how much you cpu is being used. If there is a precess that is eating away your cpu pwer then see what it is. Sometimes on my pc there is a precess called dump"something" that happens every so often that locks up and takes up my processing power.
There is no way to tell with the info you have given us. Your first step should be to download free spyware and anti-virus software as others have said.
