Do people like this annoy anyone else?

People who always use stupid things to come up with something, can't think of what its called but heres an example...

Example "My soul is as black as ash and I'm tired and depressed of life and I want to go to sleep"

translation: I'm not feeling good I'm going to go to bed. :P

I try not to hate anyone, but that seems like a particularly silly reason for HATRED.

Yes, people are different, some people are weird, and some people annoy me. But that doesn't mean that they aren't good people, and "hate" is a VERY strong word.

I view "hate" to be about the same as "love" or "hero". Those words are supposed to mean something. Use the word "hate" too casually, and suddenly it means absolutely NOTHING when you tell a dude that you hate him or his mother. Same way that I've met people who say "I love you" to everyone they meet. At which point, when they tell you that they love you, it doesn't mean a ****ing thing.

I don't think OP literally hates him, but his friend's stupidity seems to be getting on his nerves. Hence the word hate. And since they're friends and not acquaintances, no need for OP to hate him either. And abhor is a stronger word than hate. *shivers* Really hurtful too.
