Just wondering because I game with one of those really old tvs from the 90's and it makes almost like a mosquito ringtone sound. I don't sit to close to the thing but is it bad?

All TVs emit some radiation. Nothing harmful though, don't worry about it.

That's just vibrations, often can be fixable from hitting it gingerly on the side (enough to hurt your hand). They emit radiation that is stopped at the screen by... the screen and phosphorus, which coverts the UV radiation into visible light, same thing happens in plasma screens.

They emit electro-magnetic waves, which are less dangerous than radiation but can also have negative effects on health if you are exposed too much. Same goes to all types of electrotechnique.

Actually, CRT type TV and monitors emit x-ray radiation in the form of gamma rays. Television and Computer Screens has more details.

Yes and it will make you go blind if you sit too close or watch late at night after you are suppose to be in bed. My mother told me this when i was a kid and i trust her.
