It's normally the little things that make me laugh. Like in Scary Movie 2 when she knocks on the door, but the door rap is a bronze statue with two massive gonads! The one where they piss taked Signs "Don't call me dude, I'm not a stoner anymore'. Some reason that line has stuck to me.
Outside of Scary Movie 1-3, any movie that is called "_______ Movie" is horrible imo.
I like other spoofs like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz though.
I liked a lot of the old stuff also. Loaded Weapon 1 (the cop movie spoof) was ace! Bursts into room 'What's wrong!', Samual L, jackson sitting on toilet 'Nothing, just taking a ****'.
A lot of the old spoofs are probably like Charle Chaplin now. Like, not funny anymore. But back in the day I can remember laughing to myself in the class room when I kept thinking back on funny parts to the films.
i watched half of the "meet the spartans" movie (which is roughly 30 minutes), and I didnt laugh one time. I just turned the movie off and starting playing COD4. Its like they try so hard to be funny that it just comes off as being childish and not funny. linklb4130
Actually, I don't think they even tried with the recent "(insert movie genre) Movie" movies. It seems that we're so up into wanting another spoof that they're just rushing them out the door without much thought and hoping that we like jokes that a third-year old would laugh at. It's terrible, considering that Airplane! and Spaceballs are two of the best spoofs out there, and are just about 20 years old each. How far we've fallen.
Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are pretty much the only ones I like. Unless you count the Incredibles as a super hero spoof movie (which it kind of is).Darth_Tyrev
Those movies aren't really spoofs per se - the creators set out to make legit horror/action comedies and had utmost repsect for the source material.
Syphilitic drive like date movie, meet the spartans, etc (not even worth capitilising the titles) are people attempting to use the same jokes that are in the original movies by simply ramming them in willy nilly - hohoho it's Borat in a mankini! James Bond in narnia, oh stop my sides! HA, Myspace and Emo joke!
