no...it's just ea trying to get free publicity....GTA 4 looks like it could be the begining of the end of the series....CIoud_S
Omni Slash why you gotta be so crazy!
GTA use to be original, exciting. The last installment was starting to boarder on repetitive. This one looks to bring nothing to the table that I care to even play anymore. Sure it looks purty, but it's just not doing it for me anymore.CIoud_S
So does Final Fantasy, 40 dozen games later and the only new it's brought to the table is a Poor Mans KoToR.

How about try reading previews? There are a ton of new things brought to the table.
exaclty....Same difference.....minor tweeks...I have read them :| sorry to dissapoint you SimpJee if it still floats your boat congrats....but mine has sailed....Don;t get me wrong, this will sell, but i have a suspiscion the reviews aren't going to be kind....So does Final Fantasy, 40 dozen games later and the only new it's brought to the table is a Poor Mans KoToR.
dj_pulserfan
in my case, it would because:
1. iron man looks like crap, like most of the super hero movies.
2. playing gta iv >>>>>>>> watching a lame movie.
3. spending money to watch a crap movie instead of saving it to buy gta iv? no no no

I don't care, really. It's not like it wont sell if you don't buy it

Yeah like those sticklers at oxm that gave it a 10/10
[QUOTE="dojodawg"]Yeah like those sticklers at oxm that gave it a 10/10CIoud_SIf you read anything "Official" for reviews you can only suffer.
? I dont it is just the first review to come out. Anyway every big review magazine, site has been groveling ever since theve gotten there hands on gta. So I cant imagine any poor reviews anyway.
As For Iron Man, It looks like just another sub par superhero movie. Ill save my 7 bucks for the dark night

I hope so. I hate the comic book movie trend. The reason Spiderman was good was that he was a teenage boy like the audience for the movie and that during most of the flick he is unmasked. And Superman is good too because he retains his human unmasked appearance in costume. The others have felt like cash ins, even the sequels to Spiderman and Superman themselves.imitationflavorWhat about Batman? Batman Begins was a great movie.
Judas priest>GTA4>Iron maiden also I'm sure people can get both.
Edit: I read iron maiden for some reason, but what i say stands.
I think it's unlikely that GTA IV will hurt Iron Man's box office take for a few reasons:
1. GTA's an M rated game. I don't see a whole lot of parents dropping 60 bucks on a game that their 10 year old probably has no business playing nyway.
2. Iron Man is a high profile film which is opening during the beginning of the blockbuster movie season, plus it's a moviethat most parents will wind up taking their kids to see, being it's a PG-13 film. It'll wind up doing just fine.
I remember that last year Dreamworks blamed the failure of The Heartbreak Kid on the release of Halo 3 the week before. What they failed to realize that it was an R-rated romantic comedy starring Ben Stiller. Stiller is NOT a good romantic lead for starters. Plus, Heartbreak Kid was released during the fall...not exactly a high profile movie season.

I kind of have to agree with his there. San Andreas did feel a bit rehashed. There was too much of a "been there done that" feeling.

I'd buy it gor the new pysics system. Nothing like driving on a sidewalk during rush hour.

Psh, I felt that way about GTA the day they announced Vice City. Turns out some of us don't like to play the same exact game over and over again except this time set in the 80s man! Like awesome!
But hey, at least they're making a genuine effort to make GTA4 less typical and more clever. I hear some of the old hardcore GTA whingers think 4 is so different from the previous games it *isn't* a real GTA game and therefore will suck. Who does that remind you of? That's right. The Fallout Jihadists over and No Mutants Allowed!
