i was just wondering if anyone thinks video on demand is really actually gonna go off and make blu ray (or HD DVD but that doesnt seem too likely after the warner announcement) useless?

i mean i can see the benefits of Video on Demand, u get it in the comfort of ur own home, its easier i guess

but then there are lots of cons too i mean ur not gonan be getting the extra features most likely, they probly be adding high def audio on the files, if they do they mite be nearing 30 gb downlaods which is a little perposterous at the mainstream internet speeds

and also the issue of people finding a way to crack the DRM on the files and then using htem to copy

No i dont think so.... many will download videos from the internet for free (illegal) and when they want to watch a good movie in good quality they ll just buy it on blu ray, just like music.

No, due to the many who like to have hard copies in their collections.
