Do we still have viruses / spyware on the internet because......

.....the anti-virus software companies are creating and helping to create more viruses? Think about it, if spyware etc was finally removed from the internet once and for all, the anti virus industry would die.

Yeah of course, that's like saying doctors are trying to make new strands of cancer everday so that people can continue being sick :roll: (actually... the conspiracy is in drug companies that do horrible things for maximum profit, but I don't know)

We still have viruses/worms/trojans because people are evil (to put it very mildly) and they actually do it for a laugh. That's one of the things wrong with the world, that attitude. We can only combat it by doing good and not giving importance for that kind of behavior.

What I'm personally vexed about is that we can't sue an antivirus company if our computer gets spyware. What's the point of paying for the software if it's not doing it's job right is that not true? Who's with me? I mean one might as well just have one of those free anti virus programs.
