A cinema I used to go to offered free refills for life if you bought one of their huge cups. Needless to say, they withdrew the promotion pretty sharpish. I still have the cup for when I'm dying of thirst.
Lol, its sorta stupid if they get mad at you, because the ratio of $50 container of liquid mix to the amount they produce and charge you is pretty bad. You can probably get 10 cups and they would still be ripping you off.
im its only abuse of you hang out there for half an hour after your done eating just for the free soda, or of you go back later in the day with the cup so you can refill.
at amusement parks where they have free fountain drinks HELL YEA!! i would sometimes just fill up the cup take a sip and throw it out.NetYankEagle
lol yeah, free refills is something that youre gonna want to abuse in amusement parks. i bought a soda for $7 at seaworld since there was nothing else, but i refilled it four times throughout the day. and once more before i left.
I'll usually only refill once at restaurant - I can't imagine drinking much more than two whole cups of soda. I will say at amusement parks I will buy the souvenir cup and I'll use that darn thing every single chance I get.
Of course. If they didn't want people getting refills, they wouldn't put the soda fountain in the dining area...
Besides, people that work at fast food restaurants and the like really don't care if you drink a ton of refills or take a bunch of napkins, its not their money that you are wasting.

Haha, reminds me of a thread that was here a while ago about someone getting banned from mcdonalds for taking to many napkins.

Of course I do, but I don't really think it's an abuse of the free refill policy. I think it is more or less the whole point of it. Otherwise they would go back to filling your drink one time behind the counter for you.
Thats not abuse imo. I've seen people walk into a place with an old cup from like months ago, get a refill and leave. Thats abusing it. I don't go that far. If I leave the place, to me thats where the "free refill" ends.

yep i fill it up always and mix it and if i dont like it i dump it and try again and rite b4 i leave i refill no wait i drink as much as i can then refill

I generally refill my Iced tea two or three times before leaving the restaurant. Since they charge $1.99 for a glass of water run through some leaves, I think ill take as many damn refills as I want.
