Does anyone here actually care about starving children in other countries? Oh, also has anyone seen that new show on fox where they ask questions like that on a lie detector in front of hundreds of people? That show looks pretty messed up but funny at the same time. Oh but to answer the topics question no I dont care.compaq345682I don't want to talk to anyone that doesn't care. I care very much. How would you feel if you were starving and someone didn't give a stinkin' crap about you?

The problem of people starving in poor countries has more to do with the ruling governments of these countries than the people themselves. Billions of dollars of aid go to developing countries every year but corruption prevents much of this financial aid from reaching the people that so desperately need it. Bad foreign policy over the past 50 years by the U.S government has also caused the deaths of millions.
The United States has had a really bad reputation in the past of supporting some of the world's most brutal dictators because said dictator was anti communist at the time.
Throughout the later half of the 20th Century huge areas of Africa were plunged into conflict because of the vacuum created by the withdrawal of their former European masters, and the fermenting of nationalist and Marxist ideas.
Angola is good example of such a conflict. From 1975 until 2002 the country was ravaged by ahorrendous civil war that is estimated claimed the lives of over 500,000 people. The Angolan Civil war was a 'war by proxy' fought between the MPLA who were supported armed and financed by the Soviet Union and UNITA who had U.S backing.

What this man said is key.
I suppose if I cared it would translate into action. You can't care and have no intention of doing anything. So I suppose I do care and I should think about doing something to help like donating to charity.
I find it hard to care for people I have had no contact with. I feel compassion, but I don't care.FragStains
Exactly how I feel about it.
