In High School it was always nicknames. In college it's formal. But of course I'm sure that will change when I get a big head as time goes on and I think I'm a big shot or something :P

A kid in my Government class calls our teacher by her first name. Weird if one kid does and noone else does, at my school everyone does, there is no alternative.
