Ok, so the soon to be 44th President of the United States has gone from this:

To this:

The question is, do you like the direction he's taken so far? Do you approve of some or none of his cabinet selections? Do you think the action he is taking is important?

I voted for him... man I screwed up... just kidding. Still neutral. I'll wait until he's sworn in and actually has a chance first.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton... I'm not sure about this guy. Actually I dislike him as much as I did when I voted against him.

Maybe we should wait until he does something before forming an opinion?

I dunno, seems like an idea to me.

I saw one of his press conference's the other day.....and it seemed like he was still speaking on campaign talking points.....He didn't talk about anything specific....and....he looked sorta bored.

And none of them have done anything either... Without any concrete policies or actions to judge him on, this topic seems pretty pointless.

No, but knowing the kind of team he'll be working with and watching the kind of picks he made should tell us something about his political character. Like if he's appointing people who can actually function in their position or not. He's also held several press conferences the last couple of days and discussed his positions on the bailouts. By listening to what he says now, can't we get some sort of a clue as to how he'll be in the future?

I do support most of his cabinet picks (Hillary Clinton is alright, I would have preferred Bill Richardson or Chuck Hagel). That said, at this point, there is not much to evaluate...

I'm still very unhappy about him winning the election, but I can't dwell on it any longer. I'm going to be as open-minded as possible once he's sworn in, but I still highly doubt that I'll change my mind much...if at all.

If I heard correctly, Bill got appointed to a different position in the cabinet. Not as high up as SOS, but he still got in.

His emphasis on various bailout plans bothers me significantly. I hated the first one enough, but now there will be more? Ugh.

He's clearly a man of action, and he isn't even president yet!

I just find it amusing how Bush is willing to go along with anything he suggests- Bush doesn't want to be remembered as a complete turd, just a mostly turd.

If he succesfully pushes Congress to put an effecitve universal healthcare system in place, well, that will already be more than Bush has done in my opinion. I'm not sure what he's going to do about Iraq, and I'm glad I'm not the one who has to deal with Bush's baby and make that decision.

I don't understand why people do this. There is no body of work here to make any kind of conclusion. People are quick to judge without reason. Only years and years after a presidency will anybody have an idea of how effective or ineffective they were. I have no appreciation for any president over the last 150 years.

no  he supports the current bailouts and shows he knows nothing of the economy.

if you want more of something, subsidize it. you want less of something, tax it.

he wants to subsidize failure and tax success.

do the logic

"Democracy is talking itself to death. The people do not know what they want; they do not know what is the best for them. There is too much foolishness, too much lost motion. I have stopped the talk and the nonsense. I am a man of action. Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy. You in America will see that some day." who got us here? greenspan, bernanke, obama, bush, every politician in washington, and irresponsible people. but mostly the federal reserve. this mess is not by a long shot the result of bush, but rather our economic structure. however, which policies a person supports, tells a lot about them

incumbant presidents always work with incoming presidents. There's no point in Bush being stubborn about things that Obama will implement once in office anyway. Bush's Presidency was a very important one and there's no way of knowing how it will be viewed decades from now.

I'm not impressed by who he has hired. He got my seal of approval for president when the people voted for the man. I may not like what I see so far and disagree with just about every one of his policies, but I will support him.

Yeah, that'll increase the national debt more than Bush has done. Iraq is a moot point how, because we're basically obligated to keep some military presence there. The only issue is how many and at what rate withdraw will take place.

His stance on the bailouts is interesting. I don't care that we're doing it but I want some feedback on how this is effecting the tax payers. I mean do I own part of these companies now? Do I have stock in them? Or does the government totally control them? Will I ever get anything back from them?
