I've never had experiences but it doesn't stop me from seeing it as a possibility. People who don't believe are in denial about possibilities and people who strongly believe it come up with bull**** reasons to make people believe it.

I can't say the I don't believe in paranormal stuff at all, but I think, as with any other similar strange things like UFO's and whatnot, that 99% of the claims out there are BS. Unfortunately, it seems like a pretty high number of people have claimed to have seen something in their life, but most of the stories I've heard don't even sound credible.

if i believed in ghosts i may as well start believing in santa, elvis being alive and baby jesus. there are enough people out there that says all the previously mentioned things exists but myself i prefer to use logic.

People who've had these experiences are most likely hallucinating. I know, because I hallucinate a lot (seeing ghosts etc), and it feels pretty real.

I've never just hallucinated during the day, but I've experienced sleep paralysis several times, and I think a large chunk of paranormal and alien encounters can be written off as a hallucination. I don't think that fits the bill for all the stories out there, but it would explain a lot of them.

While I don't believe in ghosts, I believe that there is possibly extra-terrestrial life. I'm not talking little green men but microbes at least. Not sure if that really qualifies as believing in the paranormal :P

well life on another planet somewhere in the universe seems like common sense seeing as how many planets and asteroids and what not there is out there

Yeah, I've had sleep paralysis and I'll also sometimes see things that don't exist at night. The sleep paralysis might be a reason for a lot of the alien abduction stories.

i do believe that there are many things science can not YET fully explain, although i don't define them as "paranormal". for example, i believe in the existence of extraterrestrial and sentient life forms, i believe there's a high probability that "ghosts", or the phenomena that create them, exist. i also believe in god, but not necessarily in the Anglo-Christian context.

That's what I am getting at...one person's common sense could conceivably be someone's insanity.

That's the theory, and for someone who is experiencing it for the first time, it can be terrifying, but I think most people can separate what they see during an episode from reality. It's the few individuals that don't comprehend the situation that I don't trust.

I simply can't believe in ghost or paranormal stuff, it sounds so fake and the media doesn't help to make me believe, those ghost hunters are clowns to me.

Well, sometimes when I feel it coming on I can snap out of it. If I'm already seeing things I'll generally walk up to the "ghost" and I'll realize it's not real and go back to bed.

So are you hallucinating outside of sleep paralysis? Because by the general description of the condition and my own experiences, you can't walk at all. Whenever I've had it happen, I realize pretty quickly what's going on, and try to go back to sleep and hope the next time I wake up I can move again.

You could say that about a lot of things based off your beliefs. Examples: paranormal investigators, astrology, all the big foot and loch ness monster hunting teams, various religions, etc.

also UFOs (possibly)

considering there is no evidence for everything you just listed then yea, it's pretty crazy.

I'm talking about all the books/movies/stories/products sold because of paranormal stuff/UFOs and they possibly don't exist.

Yes. All my encounters have been related to sleep paralysis so its not exactly paranormal, rather, just bloody scary :P but i know a few people who have been involved in some dark arts and the victims claim to have seen black firgures, felt like they been suffocated when sleeping, and other stuff. Freaky stuff really.

Experiences? No, but I believe in it. While the vast majority of things can absolutely be explained there are numerous occasions that cannot. Some channels do seem like they're just trying to make money off of it, but if the real media actually took it seriously and made an attempt to find what's going on in Area 51 and other coverups it would be very interesting.

The supernatural, yes. The paranormal, I'm skeptical and lean towards no.

That is, depending upon how you define the two. To put it simply, I believe in the work of a miraculous God but am skeptical of stories that resemble conspiracy theories.

As far as personal experiences, I have had many spiritual experiences which include anything from spiritual highs to hearing a voice... Don't worry, I don't hear voices regularly. :P

I've had a few experiences, and tried to rationalise them, but couldn't. I do take medication for some health issues, but discounted that as a cause of 'hallucinations' because the 'activity' didn't last for long, and surely I would still be experiencing things if the medication was affecting me in a negative way?

Anyway, after my experiences, I do not discount the existence of ghosts.
