Nope. Religions with many gods fascinate me much more than the monotheistic ones, though. Thor, Oden, and Vishnu have the most personality if you ask me, and all three come from belief systems where more than one deity is believed in.
I don't believe in multiple gods or a single god, though as with the user above, I do find systems of beliefs that incorporate multiple deity's much more interesting.
If there is any type of God/Gods, I know its far beyond our comprehension or anything that is wrote down in human language. The stuff you read about is all made up by retards from back in the day, that didn't know any better way to write about things they didn't understand.JunkyMcMuffin
Nothing has changed much, all those retards are now replaced by scientifc retards who believe there are super advanced beings living on other planets...aka Aliens.
Its just as much a possibility as there being one I guess. the Egyptians believed it.. but they also thought the Pharoah himself was a god..
MuddVader
That was only for so long. During the Middle Kingdom times the pharoah was considered a shepherd rather than a god.
I do believe that there are things that we do not understand. When it comes to the monotheistic religious gods however, I am an absolute Atheist. Being a former Christian helps in debates:P

The idea of a god/gods or god like entities in space and time or whatever. Is something that is a little to out there for any reasanable debate. However, judging by the size of the multiple universes out there. Its very possible that somewhere out there, an earth-like planet existed before ours did, and in that case, life developed on it just like it does on this one, and if their planat was before ours, than it would be only natural that it would be more "advanced". I don't find these theories to be retarded, because one day they might actually be able to be proved true or false. Unlike the idea of Gods. Unless Jesus walks the earth again like the bible says...but, I doubt it. But to be safe, we cool, right Jesus?[QUOTE="Blubadox"][QUOTE="JunkyMcMuffin"]If there is any type of God/Gods, I know its far beyond our comprehension or anything that is wrote down in human language. But to be safe, we cool, right Jesus? It is quite possible that there is life outside this planet, but the big question is why do you want to know? Humans have this crazy idea of expressing their incapacity by creating advanced beings of extraordinary power/technology. So called ancient superstitions are now replaced by modern superstitions, what has changed? Nothing. The fact remains same, man wants to know the truth, he wants to move forward. Faith is the belief system that acts as a utility for hope, gives people confidence. In searching for something that cannot be searched you are indirectly gaining more knowledge- evolving into a finer being. Ancient teachers really felt the need for it, don't follow Jesus or Krishna- follow what they preached, what they preached was humanity, do good, be good and all that stuff. Every religion is only evolving a God out the material man and the same God is the inspirer and hope for all of them, you choose your belief system based on the language, cultural adaptation, experience and influence. And move forward.

Although I find the mythology of polytheistic religions to be far more interesting than that of monotheistic religions, I do not consider polytheistic religions to be any more valid than monotheistic ones.chessmaster1989Agreed.
a god is a term for a being that is stronger than you and can decide your fate...before it was a crocodile, now its something we can't explain (because we are foolish enough to believe in such things).
In my opininon there is no such things as a god (the ones that books describe, any religion) , and the fact that they all have same facts about them just shows that people copy everything to get some power over the easy-belivers.
Also, i think its time that people realised what for example the bible is for...to teach people about morals through storys and symbols, nothing more and nothing less. To think of it as something more would be the same as worshiping the force...its mystical and we can't describe that too, so what if it was in star wars...
[QUOTE="SpaceMoose"]What would define someone as a "god" in a general sense anyway? The ability to do something that it is generally assumed no human could do?Mclovin02One who is immortal and controls the forces of nature Ancient Egyptian gods could die, as far as I know.
I'm an atheist, but I would believe in one supreme God before I would believe in many gods for the sake of simplicity and beauty.
EDIT: If there is one supreme God, then there would be no other gods. God's own existence would cancel out any imposters.
I beleive its a possibility...I don't pretend to know which, if any, gods are real however:P Darth-CaedusIt's been proven that guitar gods are real though :P
