It has been proven scientific fact! Why do people still doubt it?

No, the polar ice caps are just as big as they were twenty years ago.
Also, all of the stars and planets revolve around Earth.
I might believe in it if the spokespeople weren't so damn hypocritical about it. If you really care about it, or if it really is a problem...then why are the biggest contributors, the spokespeople who go on Charter jet flights, giving off more "Greenhouse Gas" in one month than what one person gives off in roughly one year?
Solve that dilemma, and you might make it believeable, till then...it's a band wagon. Much like the Y2K bug...it never happened and yet people said it would doom us all at the turn of the millenium.
^^^ where do you live? I'm from northern Canada and it's getting warmer up here.shtjyi
The UK (It's wet and cold)
I've heard that the temperature rise is lagging behind the rising CO2 levels suggesting the temperature rise isn't being caused by the CO2. mmogoon
I've heard a lot of things that I cannot really provide any significant sources to back up...
I've heard that the temperature rise is lagging behind the rising CO2 levels suggesting the temperature rise isn't being caused by the CO2. mmogoonwhy do scientist and people keep saying they dont know whats causing the earth to heat up, its pretty obvious its us!. Cars emite Co2, power plants emite pollution in the air damaging the ozone layer and rising Co2 levels, us cutting down trees reduces the amount of air being produced, landfill runoff destroying marine ecosystems, killing off animals for no reason. Example of killing off animals- a shark killsahuman(which is its natural instinct just like any other predator) and then humans go off on a big hunt killing tens, and hundreds of sharks trying to kill the one that killed the person:x

The Y2K bug "never happened" as you put it because most of the software it was going to affect was updated. At any rate, I don't remember many people saying it was going to "doom us all," although the news outlets certainly were blowing it out of proportion as they tend to do with anything that they think will drive their ratings up. Go, go, infotainment...
Here are some examples of the Y2K but that did happen, although none of them were particularly major:
In Ishikawa, Japan, radiation-monitoring equipment failed at midnight, but officials said there was no risk to the public. [3]
In Onagawa, Japan, an alarm sounded at a nuclear power plant at two minutes after midnight. [4]
In Japan, at two minutes past midnight, Osaka Media Port, a telecommunications carrier, found errors in the date management part of the company's network. The problem was fixed by 2:43 a.m. and no services were disrupted. [5]
In Japan, NTT Mobile Communications Network (NTT DoCoMo), Japan's largest cellular operator, reported on January 1, 2000, that some models of mobile telephones were deleting new messages received, rather than the older messages, as the memory filled up. [6]
In Australia, bus-ticket-validation machines in two states failed to operate. [7]
In the United States, 150 slot machines at race tracks in Delaware stopped working. [8]
In the United States, the U.S. Naval Observatory, which runs the master clock that keeps the country's official time, had a Y2K glitch on its Web site. Due to a programming problem, the site reported that the date was Jan. 1, "19100." [9]
In France, the national weather forecasting service, Meteo France, said a Y2K bug made the date on a webpage show a map with Saturday's weather forecast as "01/01/19100".

Exactly. I might buy into the fact that the Earth is getting warmer, but I don't believe we're (humans) a significant cause of the problem.

I believe in Global Warming, but not from human activity. The earth heats and cools naturally but we as humans insignificantly affect this planet. Human caused- global warming is all just media hype sparked by the government to try and get the people of the world to recycle more and to prevent global recession. That's what I conducted from facts from newspapers.

People are stubborn and dont like to be proven wrong. I do believe in Global Warming btw

It is not man made. It is just a cycle the earth goes through it is not a threat made by us.
It is natural, but recently its been much worse than ever before, in fact since the industrial revolution it has been shown that more carbon has been released into the air and more heat has resulted from this.

yes i believe in global warming and that its happening, but I also believe its always happened. Its a natural cycle on earth. However with the additional co2 created by humans, this cycle is gonna reach a peak it has never hit before, and the effects of global warming will be different and more worsethen ever. We may not be able to completely stop global warming, but if we can cut back on the portion we are causing, at least it wont be as servere as it would be if we did nothing.
Its a natural cycle, we have very little effect, what effect we do have, is caused by the poeople that run the earth, not us, we cannot do anything to change it, yet this since the begninng of the year everytime you turn around you see something about global warming, they dont expect us to change it, because we cant. Its used to put fear into us, to controll and brainwash us.And "Live earth" dont make me laugh, its all just a mind trick and you bileave it, just like most americans bileave soldiers go out and fight for your freedom, the earth is only a few thousand years old, tupac is alive, other crap the media and world leaders want u to bileaveJowell91
What people run the Earth? I though we all ran it? I also think we can change it I mean the coming generation is more informed than ever on the present state of the globe and hopefully will do a much better job than the recent generation. Of course that could just be wishful thinking but I dont care I'd rather be an optimist than a peccimist.

Total-KO
I find it hard to swallow the presmise that humans insignificantly affect the planet, considering the rate of deforestation, polluted waters in various places, driving various animal species to extinction or near to extinction, or at the very least, out of their previous habitats (although personally, I don't want to ever come across a grizzly bear in the woods), composite satellite images of the Earth at night, etc, etc.
Yeah global warming is real. Although I think it's absurd to think that global warming will make the Earth un-liveable in 100 years.Grasshopper_12
not completely unliveable, but ill tell you this, i dont wanna live with it, and Im damn sure I dont want my kids to either.
