Do you believe that global warming/climate change is a serious problem for the earth or do you think that it's part of the earths natural environmental cycle. Myself, I beleive that human actions are drastically changing the environment for the worse and the human race will eventually be extinct due to this.

I think it's real. I won't say if I think it's us or a natural cycle, because I don't know.

I do know that if it continues, and I don't think we have seen any evidence to the contrary, that life will change dramatically as well. We might have to abandon all our costal cities, have different season times and strengths, and see a lot of species die off.

It is definately real. However CO2 may not have such a largte effect on it as previously thought. However it has always been known that there are other gasses with a far greater effect on the atmospheric termperature and global warmign than CO2.

Yes, that is true, imo, but people can still believe it or not believe it as they see fit.

It's very real. I saw on my local weather forecast that we'll be experiencing the effects of it the day after tomorrow.

And just to let everyone know the term 'global warming' does not mean that eventually the planet will become like Venus. What it does mean is that our climate will be thrown into flux.

Venus has a runaway greenhouse effect. That's why it's so hot on Venus and the pressure on the surface is so great. and Venus is not a gas giant. It is a rocky inner planet with an atmosphere.

What do you mean "a big cloud of gas"? Are you saying that it's like Jupiter or Saturn? If you are, then that's not the case, Venus actually has a surface.

It doesn't really have a process, it has cycles that last for millions of years.

Do I believe that natural global warming and cooling would have happened with or without humans? Yes. Do I believe that it is possible that we have sped up the warming process? Yes.

Do I believe that it will make us go extinct? Definitely not.

Yes. Whether it's anthropogenic (ie caused by humans) is irrelevant -- there is no reason why we can not/should not do our best as a species to cut down on pollutants.

I did, until I did a reseach report on it. Also, it's been getting so much colder every year. This summer, there has been like 3 days that were in the 90's, and last summer, like everyday was atleast 90.

You cant look at it like that, climate change isnt something that is noticable one summer to the next,

The climate change causes more Storms among other thing, so what your saying is basicly, Hmm, there are more storms now and bad wheater and it isnt hotter then last summer so that must mean that there isnt any global warming.

I think it is a natural cycle, humans may or may not be speeding it up. Look at the ice ages. Were humans around then? No. Did the climate rapidly change? Yes.

do u think that glacier was always there, of course not, climate change is a normal thing and a very necessary thing for evolution. how many animals have become extinct over the millenia only to be replaced by even more different animals. 65 million years ago there was a mass extinction where about 95% of the worlds animals and plants died, that could have been climate change brought on by the asteroid and yet a couple of million years later there were animals all over the planet. Earth used to be covered in water and most likely it's about to happen again and humans are either going to have to adapt or face extinction

Of course its real... How much of a effect we have on is debatable but we are having a effect.. Furthermore the solutions put forward arn't just for global warmings, they are common sense improvements that may cost money now but if let go would cost us much money later on.

well human life will eventually become extinct because of the weither. we are living in between a warm time. ice ages occur ever some thousands of years and we just happen to be in the middle of a warm time.

I believe in science, and the overwhelming amount of scientific evidence points towards the existence of climate change. Hence, yes I believe in climate change. To me I think the big mistake that a lot of people make when arguing about climate change is short term thinking. The debate inevitably revolves around the last week or two. Some putz looks around and says, "Hey, it's been a pretty cool summer where I live the last week or so...climate change must be a lie!" (Or the reverse to be fair.) The way to determine the reality is to observe the trends worldwide over the fifty-one hundred years. I've seen those trends put in table/graph form, and it's a steady rise.

Do I believe in man-made global warming? Absolutely not. Do I believe that pollution needs to be reduced on this planet? Absolutely! I do beilieve that it is nothing more than climate change, something that man has no say in, this whole belief in man-made warming is fueling the initiative by a group of banksters to tax every breath we take, eventually a global carbon tax is coming.

I find it funny that the past few years have been exceptionally cool where I am living. This year is actually cooler than the last by a long shot. Last week alone we had 3 or 4 days that it was very near cool, this is not the norm in the mid-west of america at the same time there really hasn't been much as far as horrible tornado destruction, which I would've expected listening to Gore and his minions, *shrugs* I would say believe what you will .

I highly doubvt that a global carbon tax is coming since recent ice core samples have shown that carbon is not the leading factor in global warming. Or at least it doesn;t have anywhere near the effect on it that scientists use to think it did. There are many other types of gasses that humans contribute to the atmosphere that have a much greater effect on global warming, one of those being water vapour.
