Religion makes us believe that our thoughts and actions are controlled by God, and that when we die, our Souls will flutter up to Heaven if we've been good, or descend into Hell if we've been bad. Religion teaches us that life as we know it begain with Adam and Eve... That the Bible was written by God himself, that the voice we hear in our heads is God speaking to us... That the Earth is only 4,000 Years old, and that everything that happened before that was placed there by God, invalidating the existence of Dinosaurs, the Ice Age, and all well-know things that are this prehistoric... Wine is the blood of Jesus, Etc. Etc.

I don't believe in any of that.

I believe that life began as it's scientifically told, that when we die, our Souls will be released from our bodies, leaving our bodies to be planted within the Earth. This is where I think the Heaven and Hell was born. Someone took this at a religious point of view and said, "Once your Soul is released, God shall welcome it with open arms into Heaven", while the body which is planted into the Earth will begin to Rot, bringing forward thetheory of Hell.

I watched a video on Google called Zeitgeist:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5547481422995115331

I just don't believe what Religion teaches us. I think Religion is a Scam that is teaching Mankind to believein a lot of details surrounding life that's mostly untrue. Sure, it's an interesting Fairy Tale, but some of the teachings they comeup with are pretty outrageous.

Now just because I'm saying that Religion is a Scam, doesn't mean that I'm referring to what's actually out there as a Scam either. If there is a God, I'm certainly not calling him a Hoax, I just think some of the views Religion teaches us are flat out false.

The Earthis older than4,000 Years, the Bible was written byMan, Life began from Single-celled Organisms andEvolved from there...

Maybe there is life after death, but I like to think of what happens myself. Sure, I'd like to believe that there is a Heaven, but I just can't really fit anything else in my head because it doesn't make sense.

What do the rest of you think about Life after Death?

Considering the requirements to get into heaven almost no one will get into it so there is no reason to believe in it.

if you believe in heaven then you better get your ass to church and give your money to the poor, as well as kill homosexuals and act superior to women, or else it's gonna burn

Nope, but I respect other's right to.

My mom believes there is a heaven but no hell, she believes that the world is so cruel that evil goes unpunished. Just thought that viewpoint is pretty interesting.

Heaven is thought of as a place where entry can be denied, and this is very true for many people and ALL SKEPTICS.

I think 'heaven' is not a place, but everyones idea of 'heaven' or 'paradise'. Like when a guy has just finished a 3some with bikini models in Panama and lays up in bed and says to himself "i am in heaven" thats HIS heaven (and pretty much every other dude on the planet) but it doesnt stop there.

Basically my idea of heaven is that life continues after death but as a spirit with a conscience, so I am enabled to interdimensional travel AND any thought that comes into my mind will feel like a reality, so one day I want to see what sex with jessica alba is like and the next day I want to see what jumping from the top of angel falls is like then the next day I want to see what skateboarding in a mall with more skill than rodney mullen is like, it will be true for me, in my own "HEAVEN"

Dude, you really have to get your facts straight before calling the Bible a hoax. Do some research before you start making claims. And yes, I do believe in Heaven.

Those who lack faith will live an eternity of darkness and those who believe will have life after death. Once the spirit realizes there must be more to death then the doors open up, unless he's really stubborn and is convinced that for the rest of his death he will rest peacefully in darkness. FACT

However, everyone who lacks faith changes their mind and yearns for something more and eventually they are exposed to life after death. FACT

This is how Religion gets you.

They make you believe that if you don't go to Church every Sunday, you won't get into Heaven when you die.

It's like E3... If you're not a Game Developer, you're not in the Media, you won't get into the E3 Expo, but I've heard of people who aren't in the Media who were able to enter the E3 Expo.

BUT I do believe in a God and I do believe in life after death and that means I will have a life after death, you however do not have any faith that a god exists or that there is life after death so you, will live an eternity of darkness with that one track mind, BUT you will eventually buckle, say to yourself, theres gotta be more to death than this, and then the slither of light will beam in your eyes and from there on it'll be up to you as to whether or not you choose to walk through. The Heaven as portrayed in the Christian Bible? No, not in the least. It seems to "material" to have any possibility of actually existing. I believe that there is a possibility that there exists "heavenly" realms where beings of higher levels of consciousness exist.

if you do some research you will find plenty of scientific evidence that supports the bible. and the way to get to heaven is to believe in god and accept jesus as you personal savior, its got nothing to do with good or bad deeds.

Oh please... please give me a source, I would love to see this "scientific" evidence.

Which is actually quite amusing. You could be the most evil person ever to walk the Earth, accept Jesus and still be let into Heaven while never having to pay for you wicked deeds.

To all of you who do not beleive in heaven let me say this: Their is a heaven, their is a god, and it is not really hard to get in heaven. All you must do is be saved, follow the 10 commandments(and you can be forgiven of any of these by God) and, give your life to God.sorry but i do recall that two of the 10 commandments areThou shall not kill and thou shall not steal. Also, thou shall not use god`s name in vain. Tell me the truth, with only 7 other commandments similar to these( not necessarily the same thing but at the same level of badness) is it really hard not to kill, steal,or any of the other commandments? God is the key to heaven and all those who beleive will have eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. So think to yourself, would you rather go to heaven or hell?

But you cannot prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that those are actual facts. They are your beliefs but they are not followed by everyone else. And to think a benevolent God would not allow a truly "good" person into his Heaven just for not accepting a certain faith attributed mostly to the creative genius of the human brain makes very little sense.

The religion you follow is your own personal business i am just saying that I have faith in God and thatI beleive hedoes exist and that their IS a heaven. I am not saying you have to beleive what i beleive. But if you don`t beleive in God and you are saying neither he nor heaven exists I can say that you have no true evidence that hedoesn`t exist just as you may say I have no evidence he exists, but one thing I do have is Faith in him.

Yes I do and to people that dont believe lets just say in your point of view what if there was a god and what happens when you die your going to have to suffer for all of eternity,So lets say that then you will regret not listing to the Wolf,Then what? What will you do now,They have some much Evidence that the Bible Existed they even found Tablets that say something like ,There will be a Great Deluge[Fluud] Noah you must build an Ark...and stuff like that scintist have proven there was a Great fluud they have found the wall of Jericho that they Tell about in the Bible. Now just search some of it up people..Wolf-avatar

The same can be reverted onto you... what if there was no God and you just passed into non-existence? What if there were many gods and they were only part of a complex hierarchy of beings that constantly died and were reborn?

There was NEVER a world wide flood. EVER. If there was one when mammals had existed, even if saved by a Mesopotamian river trader, they would have drowned by breathing the air.

The religion you follow is your own personal business i am just saying that I have faith in God and thatI beleive hedoes exist and that their IS a heaven. I am not saying you have to beleive what i beleive. But if you don`t beleive in God and you are saying neither he nor heaven exists I can say that you have no true evidence that hedoesn`t exist just as you may say I have no evidence he exists, but one thing I do have is Faith in him.ugafootballfan1

Exactly but the problem was, you were presenting your faith in one of your previous posts as the "right" one that everyone "should" believe in.

Fluud huh? Wasn't that the water-cannon backpack Mario used in Sunshine?

I'd love to see this scientific evidence of a global FLOOD...

Some loving god you have; he has to resort to fear tactics and threat of eternal torture to get you to worship him.

Can't say I do. It just doesn't make sense to me, personally.
