heck there are persons in my country and also in some other countries whom have claimed that they know about their past, just not too long ago a kid in one of the villages here went back to his parents of his past life and he stated the truth in whatever he said abotu his past life and his past life parents, so yeah i believe it. however there are many things which can happen to any soul after death, for instance it can go to hell or heaven and what not, there is not guarantee of instant life after death nor any guarantee of having a human as it could be another life but as some animal or soemthing! ofcourse its all based on religious facts.
Yes I do. Why? I believe that no man could have written the Qur'an, but in fact is the word of God. In the Qur'an it warns of Hell for those who go astray, but in contrast speaks of Heaven for those who earn God's favor.

There is no evidence of any type of life after death. You only need to understand how the brain works to realize why an afterlife is extremely unlikely. You see, your brain creates thought. These thoughts determine your personality, decisions, traits, and just about any other process which makes that body YOU. When you die, your brain ceases to receive oxygen, blood, and other elements that it needs to continue living. Which of course means that it dies, and once your brain dies, it can no longer create thoughts. Without your brain creating these thoughts, you do not exist. That is because these thoughts pretty much were YOU. In order for you to live again, your brain would have to be revived, and we have not figured out how to do that, and likely never will.

There are tons of these stories and they are about as legitimate as cold readings. Are you sure you want to base such an important belief off of some random persons claims which could have easily been bogus or coincidental?
no real life is not a story pal, if you want proofs then i can search that article from the news channels website and give you the name of that kid, heck there are more then few peoples in the world whom have remembered their past life.
Go ahead and find me this article. Why would some people remember their past and others not? You have to admit that the amount of people whom claim to remember their previous lives is minuscule compared to those who do not.
I dont know...... I want to say there is no such thing, but how can a humans brain process that without any FACTS from both sides. This is one of the things that has really been bothering me lately..... well religion in general. I want to have a set descision, but like I said before.... I just dont know.
Hell, I could claim that I am having memories of a past life. I could say that I remember having this color hair, that I remember having that job, that I remember this many family members, and many more things. Of course most people would think I was insane or just a liar. But, say then that I or someone else researched my claims and just happen to find someone in history that fit perfectly with my descriptions. This isn't as unlikely as you may think, considering there are literally millions of choices, you're bound to get a hit eventually. Would this suddenly make me credible? Would you then assume that reincarnation is fact and that I simply could not have made that stuff up?

Lord Krishna himself has stated this fact that those who die gets life as well albeit no necessarily human body life it could be of animal bird and what not as it depends on how one has done his past karma and that is forwarded to next life and so on. simple.
To paraphrase your 'proof': 1. You have heard there was a boy who wanted to see his parents from a former life. And apparently a bunch of stuff happened. 2. There are old poems that mention reincarnation. 3. Lord Krishna has told you (or he told somebody who later told you) something to the same effect.

Did you just say you prefer your religion over information? I highly doubt any kid remembered their past life. This just isn't logically or scientifically possible. Believe me, if proof was ever discovered that reincarnation is fact, everyone would know about it. I hope you realize that claims are not true just because a people believe they are. Seeing as you are the one claiming there is an afterlife, the burden of proof is on you to back up your claims. Hopefully you aren't the type of person that will say things as fact and never provide any reason for others to believe that. And Krishna can claim whatever he wants. Just like I can claim that reincarnation is BS.
bane its not something called a story its a fact as it was clearly shown on tv. i am searching that old news right now pal. and there are two such real life incidents and the third one happened in sri lanka where a kids claimed in his past life he was the president who was killed, and all his said comments were real as they were saying precise details of the government their. as far as Lord Krishna is considered well why would God lie?! and that statement is on the book lord has not said this to me personally. ofcourse its my religion. but almost every country believes in after life.

What 7Greatness said. Look, I wasn't questioning your honesty and I wasn't suggesting Krishna lied. How would I know? I don't know you, and I never talked to Krishna. But that's exactly my point. I have no reason to trust what a random person says over what another random person says. There are too many conflicting and inconsistent accounts out there, and none of the ones I've seen stand out as particularly credible. I can only believe when I myself is a first-hand witness, but then I could not reasonably expect anyone else to believe me - could I?

The only thing they shows is that people can tell stories, be them true or false. There is a difference between lying and not telling the truth. When someone lies, they know the truth and purposely say something else. I would agree that not all of these people are lying. A lot of them probably believe that they are having memories of their past lives, but just because they believe it does not make it true!
Did you even look at this webpage before you sent it? How the hell am I suppose to do anything with this? How about you give me some good reasons to believe in reincarnation. Surely you do have reasons other than these stories with highly questionable authenticity, don't you?

I never doubted that a news channel would air something this stupid. That has very little to do with whether or not reincarnation is fact. Hell, I just see a news article claiming that the movie 300 was a reference toward bush and terrorism... Clearly, television is full of crap and you should never base your beliefs off what you see on it.

If reincarnation is ever proven, I will be among the first to accept it. I believe in facts, and if anything is proven beyond a reasonable doubt, I will change my ways in an instant. I wouldn't say I am quiet. I never said a kid was acting, I simply said that this was a story and not a fact. We do not know if it actually happened and therefore it would be a an illogical assumption to assume that this is proof of reincarnation.

I am a supporter for freedom of all kinds, including religious. It's just when they claim that their particular belief is fact that bothers me. Because when you make that claim you are also claiming all others as false.
