As for love... it's probably different for everyone. For me... it's when I can honestly say that I would put myself before them, devote myself to them, do anything to make them happy, even if that means sacrificing my own happyness, and just knowing, without a doubt that no matter what happens trust them and stick by them (except if they betrayed me of course).

As for knowing whether it's lust or love at first sight... Thinking "I'd hit it" and "she's pretty" might give you SOME clue. =)

Love is about what you feel for someone, so it kinda answer the question for itself... How can you feel something for someone you don't even know...

It's more a question of look than love.

Some peoples think the same things as you and tend to get together... the funny things is that they tend to find it. 

No. Love is trust, understanding, comfort. You can't get any of that from a person you don't know at all. I believe people mistake physical attraction, which obviously can happen at first sight, for love at first sight.

Because we are a superficial society this happens. People with shallow souls mistake lust for love.

Love is a feeling that develops when you know there's a connection; and you can't know there's a connection just by glancing at someone...

I know from experience that it's lust at first sight, not love ;) That lust may develop into a crush, even...:oops:

I believe in a crush at first sight. When the person meet the person he or she got a crush on, that crush might develop into love.

In other words, person gets a crush, crush becomes love, person think it was love in the first place.

My teacher asked this question Friday, and i never got to answer, so i'll express my thoughts here. Okay, i do not believe in love at first sight, and to my surprise all my classmates do, even the teacher. I think love is based on personality, not on looks. How can you love someone you dont know? They maybe beautiful, but there attitude and personality is what makes them them. Love at first sight is shallow, its just a crush. Sure you could see someone and think you love them, and them meet them and love their personality too. But i think its impossible just to base something like love, on looks. Sorry for the rant, whats your thoughts?soulfood4
