Do you believe in revenge, or being the better man?

I have always believed in being the better man in situations, but going through life (18 now,) it seems to me that seeking justice for yourself is very important.

What do you believe in OT? :?

After reading The Count of Monte Cristo, I've learned that revenge is something that must be planned and perfected before even trying to attempt. You have to be patient in order to exact your revenge.

At the same time, no matter how much you've planned something may still go wrong. The book made revenge to be both bitter and sweet. If I really wanted to exact my revenge on someone, I'd have to put in the dedication and effort to make sure it's perfect.

Revenge is stupid, you're going to die eventually so what can you contribute to this world asides from constant consuming?

I used to believe in revenge. But after years of plotting, scheming, faking,and knife sharpening ... when the day of revenge finally came I just got lazy and went Eh , f**k it...

I don't know. I've never been in that situation. Usually it's others that want to take revenge on me. Fortunately, my job as a hit man usually makes it so that people who would want revenge are already dead.

I think the term "better man" is used with quite a bit of false assumption.

There is a time for either but in general being the better man is ideal.

Being the better man means you brush it off and don't retaliate. If you take revenge you are disquallified from being the better man status. You may actually be a "better" man but in terms of the saying, they are mutually exclusive.

revenge is one of the worst things in world, why you will try and find revenge? at the end you will be alone, you will list your friends, family, everything in other words.

i prefer been the better man, i always try and help other people with their cases, situations and problems.

depends on the situation. being the better man is the admirable and noble way to go. but, some things you just can't let slide....everyone haves their limits. you can onlystand there looking cool for so long with your left eye twitching.
