I'll take He's religious for $1000 Alex.Zeus commands me to count the people in this thread who apparently didn't get the joke.
At least 2 so far.
And one other who calls me names because apparently this belief system is TOO nonsensical to figure that anyone still actually believes it, unlike the other entirely reasonable ones that are still popular today.
Haha. No offense:wink:Zeus commands me to count the people in this thread who apparently didn't get the joke.

How else do you explain it..? Well um. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure it has to do with friction w/ clouds and air and stuff like that. And friction generally results in static electricity. But that's just a random guess... as for Zeus? Never really thought about it, but no.I believe in Zeus. How else do you explain lightning?

well according to one of Dan Brown's books(either angels and demons or the davinci code)the christian image of god(big guy with white flowing beard and hair)is based off of zeus so yeah I guess I do
Dan Brown is a successful novelist. His books, however, are not so good with things like "facts." I read one of his books, Digital Fortress, and let me tell you that, as someone who knows a little more than the average person about computers, I will say that book demonstrated to me that he either knew absolutely nothing about the subject matter or figured his audience didn't so he could just throw in whatever computer-related nonsense he pleased. I don't believe in Christianity, but I've heard enough about The DaVinci Code to decide that it is probably also full of errors guised as facts. I do agree, though, that many paintings of "God" look like paintings of Zeus.well according to one of Dan Brown's books(either angels and demons or the davinci code)the christian image of god(big guy with white flowing beard and hair)is based off of zeus so yeah I guess I do

I guess that is vaguely similar to, "How could Jesus be white considering where he came from?"Â Historical convenience for the church. ;)
How could you not believe in Zeus?  He died for you sins!slinky6
haha O rly? lol I've always wanted to say that.
In any case, why would Zeus have to die for sins? What's the whole deal with dieing for sins in the first place? Do you know the reasoning behind a blood sacrifice?
