As for the LHC,we are bombarded by high energy particles everyday many thousands of times more powerful than the LHC can produce.We are just observing it ina controlled evironment.
The Mayan Calendar never said the world would end in 2012, it said we'd go into a new age of social and scientific progress in the 6th age of the Earth after ending the transitional period between the 5th age and the 6th age. There's been no data shown by NASA that there will be any interference with the fundamental environmental processes of the Earth due to interaction with celestial bodies. It's a load of crap, I don't think it's going to happen, and I don't know how people come up with this stuff.
