When I'm depressed, I listen to more emotional songs. When I'm in a "normal mood", then I'll listen to anything I have.

I seek variation in music, if that is because of my mood it is unknown to me.

Not really. I usually just keep my music library on shuffle. That way it guarantees that I occasionally listen to some of my more obscure artists. If I actually select music, I usually pick from a total of about 20 bands, and I have FAR more than 20 bands in my library.

If I didn't keep it on shuffle I would, for example, never listen to The Nylons or Jeff Wayne which are two bands that I really enjoy. I just keep forgetting about them.

Not really. I could be the happiest I've ever been, and I'd probably still be blasting Behemoth or Kataklysm as loud as I can through my earbuds or speakers.

To answer my own question. Yes i do.. When someone has pissed me off i usually listen to Death Metal. If i'm a very good mood and feel like a party i listen to Andrew W.K or Municipal Waste. If im kind of depressed or down.. I'd listen to some of Johnny cash's emotional songs..

I don't know. I listen to a variety but I can't say it fits a specific mood.

yes.

Whewn I'm chillin i listen to slower paced indie.

When I'm in a mood for something with a kick i hit up the harder rock stuff.

When i feel that i make no difference i listen to punk. (only oldschool)

when I'm real happy i listen to dancish/popish indie like Mates of State or Of Montreal.

At times, I listen to music in accordance with my mood, but my music also affects my mood too. For example, if I listen to a sad song over and over, I will eventually get depressed (have done it before, and it actually works).

I put on slower music like Place of Skulls or Spirit Caravan (Doom Metal) when I'm in a good mood. When I'm depressed or whatever I pust put on death metal, same goes when I'm happy, or any other mood.

Actually, I find that depending on my mood, if that is happens to be on the mildly negative side, It is more effective to listen to music that is on the other end of the mood spectrum. For isntance, if I am feeling down, I will listen to some ecstatic trance, or when I am angry, the same thing helps. However when I am feeling alright, I listen to music that matches my mood.

I think I listen to different music depending on my mood, sure, but I don't say 'oh, I'm happy, let's listen to happy music', because usually I listen to techno now. If I'm feeling quiet, I listen to acoustic folk music. that's pretty much it in terms of listening to different music in different moods, though I always listen to an unusual amount of Led Zeppelin on airplanes.
