Do You Condone Spanking?

Personally I am against it, I feel its just a form of mild child abuse and if and when I become a parent I'll never inflict it upon my kids. I'll look to other forms of discipline such as grounding, and taking away privileges.

Seems like someone still hold a grudge for being spanked when they where bad. Grow a pair and get over it. Its worked for thousands of years, why stop now?

I think kids should be spanked because it teaches them not to do something bad, and it teaches the kid respect, which nowadays a bunch of kids i see are cussing out their parents. Parents are just being too lenianent, and after all action speaks louder than words.

Uhh...well I was spanked A LOT when I was younger and I've turned out to be a perfectly normal person who has discipline.

On the other hand, my sister, who was never spanked is now a brat and thinks the world revolves around her.

See, that when your NOT supposed to spank. Thats when its abuse.

Spanking = good way for them to learn they've done wrong.

"Grounding" = sorry excuse for a punishment.

To get the message across to kids you need to strike fear in them, or they will turn around do the same thing again because they aren't scared of you...
