Do you consider Taiwan a country?

Do you consider Taiwan a country or just a province of China?

Funny thing is a couple days ago my history class had a Chinese sub and he started arguing with a Taiwanese girl in my class about how Taiwan isn't a country.

I consider it a country myself though.

Yeah. My cousin's girlfriend was born in Taiwan.

Yep. If they make the distinction on products between "Made in China" and "Made in Taiwan" then they must be separate.

They have an established government that is recognized by all of the free nations of the world.

The only nations that don't consider it a country are communist.

The United States is pretty much the only thing stopping communist China from invading Taiwan.
