I once accepted a quest to bring my girlfriend some coffee while she was studying,
It began under a half moon, and I ventured out into the frozen wastes seeking the famed Tim of Horton's keep. As I pressed on into the night, I was ambushed by two beasts with hides as black as the heart of the devil himself, save two stripes on their furry backs. I fled, but they gave chase! I managed to weave past them, and soon lost them in the twisting streets.
Soon after I arrived at the keep of Tim Horton, only to find it still, and dark. The beasts i encountered earlier must have caused him to flee to his other castle, further north. I prepared myself for the long trek north, and brazenly began my journey. I would rarely encounter fellow travellers, and narrowly avoided several steel leviathans as they roared and slid on the icy plains.
In time I saw a beacon on the horizon, "Could it be?" I asked. It was indeed the fabled House of Horton, and within I received the object of my desire, a Medium Coffee of Endurance. Emboldened by my recent acquisition, I began the arduous journey to the High Keep of the Learned, where many toiled and prepared for grueling tests of their mental prowess. As I approached the monstrosity of glass and steel I readied myself for the hike to the tallest tower, wherein my Lady studied furiously.
The final ascent was taxing, but I felt a surge of energy with victory so near. Upon my arrival I was greeted joyously, bearing my precious treasure close to my chest. My task complete, I left promptly. A true gentleman needs no reward for his hardships.
True story.
