Homework was made because during the Cold War, people felt we were lacking behind the Soviet Union in terms of education, and in order to keep up to pace, homework was made and has been since. Any homework I do get I try my best to complete it, but complete it at minimum requirments and just do my best on projects and tests.ExiledHero

It consolidates what you learn at school. Teachers don't set homework for kicks, they do it to make you learn stuff you'll need for your exams.drug_lab

I want to say many teachers don't, but there are some that do give out homework because they can.

Sometimes I do (I try at least) especially if I need to pass, but really, homework is such BS. Why do we have to take school home? We go to school for 6 hours, that should be plenty, when I get home I wanna ****ing sleep since I'm tired because the ****ing smart asses who run the school district thought teenagers learn more when they are dead tired so they started school at ****ing 8 in the morning. Wtf? So, instead of sleeping, I'm doing homework, so, I'm tired forever. I wonder what my test results would be if I was well rested. ehhhh...SOME of them do it just because they are forced to by the school district. Like my high school had a homework requirement...even in the computer programming classes i took.

There's a lot to study, that's why. The more you study the more you learn. I always slept in class or day dreamed. So I had to study after schol or I would of been completely lost. I should of studied more, but oh well.

Too answer the question. I wasn't a good student. I just became worse and worse. Didn't study, didn't do the work. I didn't care. I should have, but I didn't. I was too busy wasting my time to do homework.

It's impossible to get me interested in something I don't care about. If I don't care or if I'm not getting payed to do it I have no ambition. It's BOOORRIIIIIING!!

If you're parents aren't rich you must do well in gradeschool if you plan on going to college,university or whatever you call it. You go to college for credentials. A name & status. It's all in the books, that you read, but in order to get a degree you must study so many years under an institute to earn one. That's pretty much what you pay for.. the degree.

It depends in on the class. Like in math the teacher doesn't check it or go over it and she said she only needs it in case we need to retest. I get 100% on every test so theres no reason to do it. I only do the homework where they actually grade it otherwise I have better things to do.
