Why do you think music is more enjoyable to most people when it's played very loud?

As for me, I do turn up some of my favorite songs, probably to the point that my hearing is being damaged!

Yep, I'll probably regret that when I'm old though.

Yes, I do like to listen to my music very loud. Not to the point in where my ears are bleeding, just loud enough so I can't here anything but the music.

NIN is great loud. You can really feel the bass reverberate through your body. It's fantastic.

Depends on the style of music. Lighter stuff is better when played quieter, but heavier stuff is better really loud.

Not a lot of modern music has changes in dynamics, so I just turn it up to a little bit under where my ears start ringing.  Classical music I turn up enough so that I can hear the entire spectrum of loud to soft.  But everything else applies to the first sentence.

For the most part, I'll keep my music at a decent level, but every once in a while, a song will come along that I'll really get into and the volume goes way up.

I don't like my music to be very loud......though about 95% of the time I'll have my music at a relatively high, but safe level.

Some songs sound better loud... but of course, not too loud. For instance, can you imagine playing Slayer's Raining Blood soft?

Depends on the music.

 Death Metal, Hell Yea!

Black Metal... No, should be kept at normal, destroys the whole point otherwise.

I enjoy music when its loud enough. But I make a point of not having it so loud that you can hear it outside of the headphones, because other people who do that annoy the hell out of me.

yup.
when I'm on the bus, I have it turned way up to the point where I've been asked once to turn it down.
but why not just tell me to turn it off:roll: because I would rather not listen to it at all if its low enough so that the person next to me can't hear it:x
