Do you ever feel bad for...

... the person who goes to a restaurant alone, eats, pays the tab and leaves, talks to no one.

I tend to. I just feel bad for them, they seem lonely. I also do the same for people who see movies by themselves.

I am extremely sensitive to things like that becase I feel bad for people a lot. Who knows, maybe they prefer it that way

Not really. For one why feel bad for them. maybe they're eating alone because they're working late and their office just a door down. I've done it when I had to work real late and knew I wouldn't be able to make it home for dinner. As for going to the movies and watching a movie by oneself who made it a rule that watching a movie had to be with someone?

I watch a lot of horror and indepedent film and not all my friends are into what I watch. Even when I was with my girlfriend I'd still go out watch a movie by myself just because she didn't want to and I did.I also know that some people I see watching movies by themselves do it for a reason: film reviewer.

I've done that before when I'm hungry and it's on my way home. Quite frankly I'd probably be a little annoyed if someone came up to me and expressed sympathy for my nonexistent plight. :P

I usually eat alone almost all the time. So it doesn't bother me.

Why would I possibly be feel bad for anyone that is eating at a restaurant alone? Is a man expected to be eating with someone? And also keep in mind you don't know these people, so why feel anything? TheDawnofFlames
