I am broke so I often have to wait before I can scrounge enough cash to get the issues I need. And by the time I catch up bam I see more books I can not afford to buy.

Uh, yeahHmm...I honestly haven't seen a comic book in a store in over a decade. I assumed they were online only by this point. They are in book stores and comic stores mainly, but yeah, there's no way the companies wouldn't take advantage of the explosion of comic movies to try to suck in new readers[QUOTE="xaos"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]
They still sell comic books?

Nope, I pick up my books every damn week; just got back from getting this week's books about a half hour ago. Yay final issue of Siege!xaos
post a pic of the cover, so I can lick my monitor please. JK
I don't really read comic books. I would actually like to, but I feel like I would automatically be incredibly far behind if I started at this point. I really like to start things from the beginning.
Perhaps I'll start reading the SHIELD comics though. The entire premise is incredibly interesting to me.
Well now I feel like a jerk, I thought this was going to be one of those "I get so many books they add up"
I get about 100-120 books a month and I don't read a series until it's over so I wanted until I had all the issues of Civil War until I read it
Right now I'm about 6 months behind schedule overall
Ill try an pick up some comics there hard to find in my area..Love dark horse legacy..Xmen, was following a few for awhile..Wish i can find a decent site to get them mailed from..Lot of comic stores in my area have closed down..The nearest one is a half hour drive..Dont have that time any more to go up every week an buy them..They have also got way to expencive in my eyes for kids today to enjoy..4 dollars a pop is just to much money..When i first started to read them they where 1.25 than they popped to 3 now there 4 dollars its redicules..They should really drop the price so kids today can affoard them...

I got the first issue a few weeks ago, I hope they can keep it up.
This is not to insult any comic book readers, but I find it hard to believe that there are still running comic book series. It seems so quaint.Cherokee_Jack
There are a lot man, that are supplied regularly. People still seem to care about comicbooks. It was on the news when spider-man lost his job, when captain America supposedly died, and when batman supposedly died(this kind of felt like the shamelessly copy ed captain America).
I should really ask the guys at the comic book I go to if they can do this for me.The comic shop in my town puts away comics for me, that way I never miss an issue, or if I'm broke I can leave it there for another week then go get it with the next weeks issues.

I can't be distracted by mere sexy chat when something as important as comic books is being discussedHmm what? No remarks from xaos regarding getting some behind?

Bingo. I give him a lit of what I collect, he puts it away for me. And since it's a relatively small town we know eachother quite well, so he puts away anything he thinks I would like as well. He wrote me down for all of the upcoming Avengers titles (post-Siege) without me even asking.
[QUOTE="WiiMan21"]*points and laughs*Never bought a comic book in my life.

That matches your avatar.
I don't buy comic books.. simply another media format to exploit the social population.EMOEVOLUTIONMuch like Gamespot?
God anyone looking forward to Thunderbolts#144, I have been looking forward to anything with Luke Cage in it. Him and Crossbones will make a great reformed criminal neo-nazi/black gangster team.

Daredevil: Cage Match came out this week. It was pretty good!
And the New Avengers: Luke Cage 3 part series going on right now (number 2 came out this week) is fantastic. Any Cage fan would love it.
Me? I'm excited for Secret Avengers now. Because today I found out Moon Knight is going to be on the team!! Favorite superhero is an Avenger again!

I got the first part of Luke Cage(hammerhead got thrashed), and I plan on getting cage match especially since I was to read shasowland. Secret avengers looks like it will be great, glad to see Steve Rogers.

I don't owe game spot anything to be here.. maybe whatever they can earn off advertisements.. but that's a little different than what I'm talking about..
I usually only buy the paperbacks or hardcover collections of the comics.Legolas_Katarn
This, right here. I don't really have the will to go to the store weekly and pick up different volumes of comics... I prefer to get them all gathered into one nice, easily accessible package.

I don't know something is great about peeling through individual issues. Gazing at the covers and recalling which ones were great and wich ones suck.
