Specifically I am talking about young relationships, not marriage. But you here about people going out for like 1-2 years and then breaking up. Do you ever worry about them not lasting and going through that emotional strain?
Sometimes, I get really sick of my friends who absoutely LOVE to argue, even if the topic is completely ridiculous. But I never worry about a relationship not lasting.

I think as long as you're really serious about it and know what you want in a partner, you shouldn't have to worry about that, and even if it ends, it won't end badly.

a girl will one day like you for who you are, its ok to be boring, I am too but i am happy, and thats confidence, girls love confidence
I sometimes get a bit down knowing the relationship will get boring and might not last but I've just gotta have the attitude "Have fun whilst it lasts and if I can work through the boring bit and make it last then great. If not, don't be too upset".
I've always beenthe one who ended the more "serious" relationships I've had... Of course I'd like to finally meet the one, but I just try to live my life by the day... If it's not working out, no point in losing time.
All the other ones, people I meet and get bored with a week later (or they get bored...) I really couldn't care less.
Agree. Some people aren't for you and you have to learn to accept that. It's hard to end something when you have been with someone you know isn't right for you for so long. I figure romance is like gambling, sometimes it pays off, sometimes you have to deal with the emotional backlash.
I think everyone needs to experience one failed serious relationship. It's a great life lesson that teaches you to not take everything so seriously.
No. I screwed up and found myself on the business end of a nasty breakup several years ago. Now, any relationship i get into either professional or personal i expect it to end by default and if it doesnt im pleasantly surprised instead of dissapointed.

Its actually been the exact opposite for me over the years. Each time i have gotten to that point with someone i have disliked them enough that i almost find breaking up with them to be gratifying. I guess it comes from being Irish. I'll put up with something forever until its beyond repair.
