This person at work kept going on and on how his new female ranger from some game he plays was so awesome and he would go into detail about her hair, lips, way she moves and whatnot. I wanted to find out what you people think about this type of behavior. He almost acted as if she was a real living, breathing person. I wonder if I should say something to him or just let him live in his fantasy world..? I guess it's no different than staring at photos of real women on the internet...but it just struck me really funny how he could describe her hands, feet, hair etc.MagusAugury
No.
Ditto. Alyx is a very good looking girl.Yes I do.
But only real women get me excited
Alyx from HL2 came close tho.

In all fairness, a "normal" guy might have a high level of attraction to Megan Fox or a certain porn star. But in most cases, thoise people have never met the woman in question, much like how I've never met Lulu from FFX.
Now you could say "yeah, **** YOU! You're an idiot! When Megan Fox looks hot, Megan Fox is REAL. But Lulu from FFX is NOT real! So...you SUCK!!"
Yes, you could say that. Thing is, most people who have the hots for Megan Fox have never REALLY ever seen her. Instead, they've just seen a computer screen or a magazine display pixels or ink blots with certain RGB values that simulate the experience of truly seeing Megan Fox. But it's still pixels and ink. The Megan Fox that the vast majority of us see doesn't really exist. We're just looking at pixels and ink. Just like Lulu from FFX.
And yeah...suppose that you do see Megan Fox in real life. Doesn't matter. She's still never going to have sex with you. Just like how I'm never going to have sex with Lulu from FFX.
So...I sort of forgot what my point was. But...attraction is attraction. And I guess that buying an issue of Playboy in order to "get happy" isn't that much fundamentally different than "getting happy" while watching an erotic cartoon. Peoples tastes will surely different, but in each case you're just looking at RGB pixels or tiny spots of ink.
Yes I do and i'm not ashamed to admit it. I got a thing going for Sheva at moment so I got to try and find someone to play Resident Evil 5 with so I can run about staring at her all the way through, instead of the bicep monster man himself. I like to see girls in action, but I do have my limits. Things like Bayonetta and X-blades, it takes it a little too far and would make me feel embarrassed to play the game.
Edit: I just thought I would add, I don't like anime girls. Something about the face just doesn't look in any way human to me. And to see that alien face on a girls figure just seems obscene.
Of course. I don't see why anyone wouldn't.
But frankly, your co-worker is a creep. I'd stay away from him in future.
Nah, not really. I can appreciate the craftsmanship behind it, and the message it tries to convey in its own obscure ways, but thats it really. :PBiancaDKWell, unless they're women. Women are only attracted to wallets, anyways.

And Gerard Butler's abs.

This post made my day. :)This person at work kept going on and on how his new female ranger from some game he plays was so awesome and he would go into detail about her hair, lips, way she moves and whatnot. Sure, video game characters may not be "real" but if it's the appearance that people are talking about, what about the appearances of people who wear cosmetics? Or who have injections to make them look more attractive than they would otherwise be? The people are real, but who's to say their appearances necessarily are? Where do you draw the line?

You missed the fact that subjects in photoshoots are covered in so much makeup that they look nothing like how they really look. Also thiers the lighting, air brushing and various other post production techniques. You missed the fact that subjects in photoshoots are covered in so much makeup that they look nothing like how they really look. Just like my post made a somewhat different point from either of yours. Also, BOOM HEADSHOT @ "suppose that you do see Megan Fox in real life. Doesn't matter.
