it's like they're addicted to the gum like it's a drug. anyone else find that ironic? i know it's not a "serious" commercial but if it was for cigarettes or something, it would never get anywhere

it's like saying "it's ok to be addicted to our gum" but if it was something such as cigarettes it wouldn't be okay

I think what he is saying is this. Addictions are bad....In the commercial it seems that the people are addicted to the gum, now if the guy had walked into the room and said "I will pay you in smokes or weed" the commercial would never fly, but since it is gum it is ok. Now please by all means correct me if I am wrong.GrandJuryyeah that's what i meant
