Do you follow the religion your parents followed?

Just a random question. I'm a Christian guy, but at one point in my life for a couple years I was an athiest. My parents raised me to be a Christian, but I follow the religion now because I choose to, not because I feel like I should just because I was raised that way.

Do you follow the religion that you were raised to believe?

My mother was born in N Ireland, raised a protestant, she refused to force me into relgion as she had been, so no. I am an athiest

I was raised Catholic, which I stopped practicing about four years ago.

Well I was confirmed in the catholic church when I was 15 I beleive and since then I have been back to church like two or three times. I do not like to practice religion but respect others choices. I'm not an atheist per say I juse beleive my life to be absolutly fine without the involvement of religion.

My parents are very lightly christians, we went to church when I was younger, but stopped like 5 years ago(maybe more). I'm Atheist now, so I don't plan on going back.

No. They go to a methodist church and took me there every sunday for 18 years. At about year 10 i came to the realization that there is no god and that all of the "miracles" in the bible were not real. 18 years of indoctrination can't beat reason if a person is truly willing to open their mind to reality. But i still go to church and celebrate christmas to make them happy. Oh well.

Sort of. My parents are Catholic, whilst I like to refer to myself as Christian. It's only a small difference (as Catholics are Christian, obviously), however I do not follow some of the beliefs of the Catholic Church, but I still believe in Christ and the fundamentals.
