Yep, there is sometime exhilerating about having your legs broken by russians. They are very polite about it.
This except I do know how to play Speed and BS.Nope. In fact, I don't know how to play any card games.

Aside from the occasional lottery ticket (if the jackpot is high) or instant scratchcard, no.bluezybut the odds of winning that are riddiculous
i prefer playing no limit hold em for a long stretch of time (like 12 hrs staright) tournaments rarely give you a chance to recover and if you get a few idiots on the table who will chase anything and everything then its no funIf given the opportunity I would like to participate inTexas Hold 'Em tournament. Instead of calling it a gamble where I leave things up to chances such as the Russian roulette, I call it takingcalculated risk

can be frustrating when some one calls/re-raises your raise on the flop then proceeds to bust your set with a lucky runner runner straight.----if you are playing no limit you can play him further and most prob win your money back if its a tournament then its most likely going to be your last handcan be frustrating when some one calls/re-raises your raise on the flop then proceeds to bust your set with a lucky runner runner straight.----if you are playing no limit you can play him further and most prob win your money back if its a tournament then its most likely going to be your last handpindropviolence
Yeah this kinda thing takes a bit of skills, timing and a lota luck, thats why I call it a calculated risk, just can't win em all
Good answer, me too! I wondered why it tells us not to take more then 1 Oderless Essence of Garlic vitamin pill a day, so I had 4. No effect :(Only with my health :P

[QUOTE="rawsavon"]Yes, I enjoy going to Vegas quite a bit. -usually gamble somewhere b/w 2,000-5,000 (American dollars) I also enjoy playing Texas Hold'em with friends, though the stakes are much smaller (in the hundreds)ariz3260
High Roller!!!
Not really... I just think that if you are going to go to Vegas then you should save up enough to have fun (not be worried about money the whole time) I take several thousand to gamble with, but that does not mean I lose it all (have never lost it all in the end)[QUOTE="Evil_Saluki"][QUOTE="rawsavon"]Yes, I enjoy going to Vegas quite a bit. -usually gamble somewhere b/w 2,000-5,000 (American dollars) I also enjoy playing Texas Hold'em with friends, though the stakes are much smaller (in the hundreds)rawsavonGrrrrr how can you afford to wipe your ass with that much money. You need some more catastrophes in your life! See above post -plus I have graduated, have a real job, and no kids...my money is mine (if that makes any sense at all)
Yeah your above post makes sense. It's like a holiday I suppose. I spend thousands when I go snowboarding so it's just the same, being from the UK when I see 2000 dollors I forget that's only like 1100 pounds.

In GS world, you qualified as a high roller :P

Exactly...you wouldn't want to go snowboarding as worry the entire time about your finances...I only go every couple years...and save some out of every paycheck (direct deposit a little of my check into a separate savings account)[QUOTE="rawsavon"] Not really... i agree, you qualify as a high roller atleast by GS standards btw how much is req to be considered a high roller in vegas?? even i'm gonna start making biennial trips to vegas once my job starts or if i get into a decent university for my masters (in that case i would make it a yearly trip):D but it would be a while before i blow up 2- 5 thousand dollars[QUOTE="ariz3260"][QUOTE="rawsavon"] Not really... NOT a high roller LOL -a good trip (to most places) is going to cost a couple thousand -I get free flights (through a friend) and cheap hotels ...all my money just goes to gambling But to answer your question, you have to be gambling 50,000 + (at least) to be a high roller there -they have special rooms with 1,000-10,000 tablesSometimes i bet a little over a game of pool or snooker. Depending on how you bet, the money can go up or down fast.

Add to that, if you are high enough of a roller some casinos will make special arrangement for such individuals, ie: free room, food, speicalflight and limousine services etc. just to secure a client to gamble at their casino. Services reserve for someone who drops hundreds of thousands or millions of dollar a night
